Ques. What is the benefit of Diploma in Civil Engineering (Lateral Entry) over the regular diploma?
Ans. The Lateral Entry scheme allows ITI graduates or Class 10 pass students with Science and Mathematics to directly enter the 2nd year of the Diploma in Civil Engineering programme, saving one year of study. This means the programme is completed in 2 years instead of 3 years, saving both time and money while earning the same diploma qualification.
Ques. Who is eligible for Diploma in Civil Engineering (Lateral Entry) at RITM?
Ans. Candidates who have completed ITI in a relevant trade (Civil/Construction related) from a recognised institution, or candidates who have passed Class 10 with Science and Mathematics with minimum 35% marks, are eligible for the Lateral Entry diploma programme. A valid JEECUP Lateral Entry score is required for admission through counselling.
Ques. What is the total fee for Diploma in Civil Engineering (Lateral Entry) at RITM?
Ans. The total tuition fee for the 2-year Lateral Entry Diploma programme is approximately Rs. 90,000 (Rs. 45,000 per year). Examination fees are charged separately each semester. Hostel fee, if opted, is Rs. 50,000 per year.
