National College of Pharmacy was established in the year 1996 and is located in Kozhikode, Kerala.

National College of Pharmacy (NCP) offers under graduate, post graduate and diploma courses in the pharmaceutical field. B.Pharm is the course offered at the under graduate level. M.Pharm and Pharm.D are offered at the post graduate level, wherein M.Pharm is offered under 4 specializations. D.Pharm is the Diploma in pharmacy course offered at NCP.

  • Candidates who have passed their 10 + 2 studies from the science stream, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for the B.Pharm course at NCP.
  • Holders of a Diploma in Pharmacy are eligible to apply for admission into the second year of B.Pharm through the lateral entry scheme, provided that the Diploma is obtained from an institution approved by PCI (Pharmacy Council of India) and provided that the student has scored minimum 50% marks in the final year examinations.
  • Candidates who have passed the B.Pharm degree with minimum 50% marks, or an equivalent examination, from an institute recognized by the Kerala University of Healthy Sciences, AICTE and PCI are eligible to apply for the M.Pharm course at NCP.
  • Applicants to the Pharm.D course are required to have completed the 10 + 2 studies with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Mathematics or Biology as optional subject and to have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate for the same, to be eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who have passed D.Pharm course with minimum 50% marks in aggregate are also eligible to apply for the 6 year Pharm.D course at NCP.
  • Candidates who have passed the 10 + 2 examination by taking Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Biology or Mathematics as an optional subject are eligible to apply for the Diploma in Pharmacy course at NCP.
  • Admission to all the courses will be done purely on the basis of merit, based on previous academic performances provided that the applicants satisfy the eligibility criteria of the respective courses.

National College of Pharmacy, [NCP] UG Admissions 2024

National College of Pharmacy offers the B.Pharm course at the under graduate level. B.Pharm course is taught over a period of 4 years.

Students who have completed their 10 + 2 studies with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and one of the following as an optional subject - Biology / Mathematics / Computer Science / Biotechnology, having scored 50% marks overall and 50% marks in the optional subject are eligible to apply for the B.Pharm course at NCP.

Candidates who are holders of a Diploma in Pharmacy are eligible to apply for admission into the 2nd year of the B.Pharm degree through the lateral entry scheme, provided that they have passed the Diploma course with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

B.Pharm seats will be allotted strictly on the basis of merit, as decided by the competent authority approved by the Government of Kerala / Kerala University of Health Sciences and as per guidelines of the PCI.

Candidates who have completed their 10 + 2 studies, with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and either Biology or Mathematics as an optional subject, and have obtained minimum 50% marks overall and 50% marks in the optional subject are eligible to apply for the Pharm.D course at NCP. Candidates who have passed D.Pharm course, with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university, are also eligible to apply for the Pharm.D course at NCP.

National College of Pharmacy offers the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) course for a duration of 2 years.

Applicants to the D.Pharm course are required to have passed the 10 + 2 studies with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and either Biology or Mathematics as a compulsory subject to be eligible to apply for the course.

Candidates who have passed the V.H.S.C of Kerala from 1994 - 95 sessions with Group A and B are also considered as to be eligible to apply for admission into the D.Pharm course. (Group A – N.C.E.R.T syllabus in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Group B – N.C.E.R.T syllabus in Physics, Chemistry and Biology)

The eligibility for the course is 50% and above in physics, chemistry, and maths. Also, you should write a Kerala entrance exam called KEAM. The minimum mark you should score is 100 and above, that's how you get a merit seat in this college.

To get admission in NIPER is very though as it is the dream land for the pharmacy students. First one has to clear GPAT/ Gate Exam then we are eligible to sit in the NIPER JEE exam. After doing B Pharma with 66% I qualified GPAT and then NIPER JEE. This way I got admission at NIPER Kolkata.

The admission process is basically merit based and the merit list is formed with the score of the last examination you have had.
