Affordable and good college

Likes

The faculty of the college is so understanding whether it is teaching or non teaching one. Principal of college is also always encourage the students to ace in their courses

Dislikes

Washroom can be maintained in more good manner and canteen must have facilities for sitting

Internships Opportunities:

The companies that offered internship programs were wipro they offered stipend upto 10000 and various banks have also offered internship programs locally with stipend upto 5000. Though i have not attended any internship the stipend offered is good

Likes

Kind of old faishoned since looks good from far
The teachers are kind of lenient, good for late submissions

Dislikes

There's no air conditioning in the college so its pretty hot in summer.
There's a fee of 10 rs daily for parking you vehicle

Internships Opportunities:

The college regularly offer internships programs in the colleges whatsapp group, the most recent offer was from central Institute of Hand tools, with the salary of 10-12 thousand per month, Before that there was an offer from Wipro with the salary of 13-14 thousand per month.

Teachers here are good as well as cooperative
Our college keep organising different seminars and competition
It has ncc - air , navy and army ,nss and red ribbon group

Dislikes

Infrastructure is needed to maintain in college
Alot of strictness sometimes out of necessity
College auditorium is opposite of official campus

Final year student get eligible for placement, companies like wipro , kotak bank ,sbi , mahindra etc have offered placement for students of dav ,the highest placement this year was 7.5 lpa by to two students of bcom and average is 15000-25000 per month . According to em its 50% of students who get placement. My future plans are to go for mba which is not Available in dav or to give some interview and job based test

The teachers have a great experience of teaching from them we came about lot of things.
Library as it is the largest library in the india . There is all types of books available

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old fashioned as compared to other colleges

There are lot of internship opportunities given by our college. Also our college offers us workshops which helps us to gain more knowledge and practical problems. Some of the students get internships opportunities in banks , companies

Likes

College has very good staff and qualified experienced teachers.
Campus has good quality, cleanliness, and green environment
Campus can be easily reached by public transport as well as by self.

Dislikes

Some rules that we cant order food through food apps
Boys entrance gate and girls entrance gate both are different though its co ed college
No dress code . Atleast students should come in proper sensible dress

Internships Opportunities:

I have done in house internship organised by college which was aimed to make students to learn about challenges faces after study and to prepare for them and it was month long internship in which daily we gets new challenges.

My experience with DAV College, Jalandhar

Likes

The overall quality of the course curriculum and the quality of teaching as well as the learning facilities is about an 7/10. It is quite satisfactory.
The various amenities such as drinking water, washrooms and cleanliness is very good.

Dislikes

The computer lab does not have quite the quality of computer systems and most of the peripherals like keyboards and mice are damaged
There is no proper facility of air conditioning and even many of the fans are quite slow in contrast to the needs. Ventilation is good
The library doesn't have a good surveillance as many of the books are either stolen or found damaged a lot of times.

Internships Opportunities:

The internship schemes are generally for roles like sales manager, accountant, project assistant etc. I personally am not really familiar with the internship aspect but from what i read in the pamphlets posted by the staff in our whatsApp group the stipends are generally around 5k to 7k.

Campus is good as compare to other colleges in jalandhar
Environment and safety is proper for all genders
Fee structure is budget friendly so every class can afford it

Dislikes

Very less events or functions are celebrated
Fines are too high for any small things or mistakes
Auditorium is very old style amd classes are very old

Internships Opportunities:

There is no placement given to me nd i also not aplied because i don't want any this kind of placement they provide like verry small level jobs with small companies placement system and infrastructure is very poor of this college

Likes

Less fines for attendance and failing in subjects
Ggood value added courses and with less amount
Nice placements provided to last year and internships to 1st and 2nd year

Dislikes

Fans are slow, it feels very hot in summers
No cleanliness in boys washrooms it's all dirty
After paying online fees for college they ask for photocopy of screenshot of payment screen

Internships Opportunities:

I never joined any internship programs which was held earlier. My friends who joined learned very much about accounting in PC. Catpro and Tally, which was fun and helpful for them to learn something new.

Exploring DAV college:A student's perspective

Likes

The only thing that i liked in my college is that i found good friends and we made a study group that is also very very helpful for us
I also like the library of the college its huge and have enough books for children so we don't have to buy books and can always issue them.
Our professors are also very nice and they have vast knowledge about the subject and they clarify our doubts. They are kind and very helpful in nature and always wanted best for us

Dislikes

I dislike the infrastructure and the classroom specially our block its not renovated or colored . It look like horror or creepy block. Benches are not nice and comfortable
Our labs are not totally equipped, most of the things are always missing because of this we are not able to perform many many experiments
They don't provide any scholarship to any general category even if we rank 8th or 9th at university level. They take extra fines instead without any reason

Internships Opportunities:

They don't provide internship to my course instead we ourselves have to go and find it. Bit for other courses many internships are present. In zomato as field intensive stipened 15k.At cremica placement for 24000 etc.

The Best College To Find In Jalandhar.

Likes

The College is a prestigious and historical one. The infrastructure is maintained yearly and environment friendly atmosphere with green plants and tress. There are special blocks for each courses and different departments for the same.
There Are computer labs , yoga rooms, seminar rooms for students. There is placement cell for training and campus recruitment. There is canteen inside the campus and water coolers are present.
The Teaching And Non Teaching staffs are very cooperative and experienced professors are there as HOD in each department. A Library is also there with more than 2 Lakh books for the students to study and gain knowledge. .

Dislikes

The Discipline is less as compared to other colleges and some teachers are arrogant towards teacher. Some classrooms are not that much developed and furnished.
Annual day and other fests should be also introduced.

Internships Opportunities:

The companies which offer stipend are wipro, TATA steel and HP etc ad amount of 15000/- is offered to the students. The Jobs like managers office staffs and clerks are offered. Many stydents are getting stipend along with the training and studying.
