IHM Hamirpur also known as State Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition institute was started in 2009 with an aim to train and groom the students in the hospitality and services sector. The institute is administered under, Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Government of Himachal Pradesh. Additionally, the institute is funded by the tourism and civil aviation ministry department, Govt. Himachal Pradesh.
Institute of Hotel Management in association with IGNOU and National Council for Hotel Management awards Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Hotel Administration. It’s a three-year program that aids students to build the necessary skills and execute the same in the service sector.
IHM also offers a Diploma in Food & Beverage Service. It’s a one-year course designed to prepare the students to get jobs at the starting level. The 18 months Craftsmanship Course in Food Production and Patisserie. It’s a certification course trained in the field of Food Production including Bakery & Patisserie.
