IHM Gurdaspur offers an array of one-and-a-half-year Diploma courses in Bakery & Patisserie, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food Production. It also offers B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration.

Institute of Hotel Management, Gurdaspur offers 3-year, full-time B.Sc course in Hospitality & Hotel Administration with a total intake of 184 students.

Admission is granted on the basis of performance in the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) conducted by National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) followed by a counselling process.

Key Points:

Candidates who have appeared in 10+2 examination and are waiting for their result can also appear in the entrance exam on a provisional basis.
Provisional admission is given provided that the proof of having passed the qualifying examination is submitted at the time of admission.
For candidates from General and OBC categories, the upper age limit is 22 years as on July 01. For candidates from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, the upper age limit is 25 years as on July 01..
English should be one of the main subjects in the highest qualification attained.
The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission.

Applicants for the Diploma courses must check the advertisement published by the institute in different leading newspapers. Admission:

High School Pass out can apply for this course. There is a exam called NCHMCT Jee and the application fees is somewhat around 1-2k. People's with reservation gets the benefits in application fees. Exam is conducted in between July and august every year for the allotment in 21 IHM's across India.

A Proper Professional college

Admission:

You have to give an NCHMCT exam which is PAN India Entrance Exam for Hotel Management. Eligibility for the Exam is 12th pass with mandatory English as a subject with more than 60%. You can find the application form in November from the 15th of November fee is a minimum of 800 for general and 400 for SC/ST Candidates. EWS, SC, and ST have good benefits regards to fees as well as Cutoff.

The entrance exam helds every year in the month of April. Then in the last of May, results will declare and the we have to go through 3 councelling rounds to choose the college according to our AIR.

It comes under Centre Govt College. In my college we have separate hostel buildings for every year due to which u can get Hostel easily every year n there is no scope of being bullied by seniors. Placements at that time were high.

My experience with IHM Punjab

Admission:

Our college issues application form which needs to be duly filled by the aspirants. The minimum eligibility criteria required to apply for any diploma course is to secure a pass marks in the 10+2 examination with English as one of the subjects. Admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in the +2 exam.
