GITAM Dental College in Rushikonda, Vishakhapatnam was established in 2001. The College presently offers Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) course of five-year and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) course in eight different specialties. GITAM Dental College is affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

• Candidates applying to BDS course must have at least 50% in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, biology/ Botany and Zoology.
• Selection to eligible candidates to BDS is on the basis of NEET entrance exam.
• To be eligible for MDS admission, candidates should have done BDS.
• Admission to MDS course will be based on score/rank in NEET PG conducted by NBE.
• For National level seats candidates have to sit for NEET counselling.
• In BDS 40 seats are reserved under Management Quota and 10 seats will be allotted through AP EAMCET ranks by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada.
• Admission to Management quota seats is also through merit in the qualifying exam.

GITAM Dental College offers BDS course with one-year rotating internship. Admissions to the course will be on the basis of their scores in NEET UG entrance exam conducted by CBSE.

Applicants must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent as minimum educational requirement for the course. Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as subjects and minimum 50% marks in each subject.

Key Points:

• Candidates applying should have completed 17-year on or before December 31.
• For SC/ST candidates, 10% relaxation is provided in eligibility criteria.

GITAM Dental College offers three-year MDS in eight disciplines. Only applicants who hold BDS degree and have completed their internship before April 30 are eligible to apply for the course. Candidates must have a valid score in NEET PG in order to be eligible for admissions. Qualified candidates will have to appear for NEET PG national counselling.

Key Points:

• Candidates applying must have a registration with Dental Council of India or State Dental Council.
• 50% of the total seats are reserved under all India Quota; rest seats are available under state quota.
• However, admission to seats under both the quotas is through NEET PG only.

For All India seats, candidates will have to sit for National level NEET counselling. Both the NEET PG and NEET UG counselling is conducted by Directorate General of Health Sciences, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

For both the NEET UG and PG courses, candidates need to follow below mentioned guidelines for online registration and choice filling for counselling:

• Visit the official website of Medical Counselling Committee.
• Choose PG/ UG Medical Counselling.
• Click on “New Registration” and fill in the required details.
• After submitting, candidate will get One Time Password for completing the registration process.
• In case of NEET UG counselling, the data entered by candidate is verified against the candidate’s detail provided by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and for NEET PG counseling the data is verified against the candidate’s detail provided by the National Board Examination (NBE).
• After verifying all the details, click on confirm registration.
• Candidates can print the registration slip which will be generated after verifying the registration.
• After registration, candidate will be taken to choice filling page, click on “Choice Available”, the systems internally retrieves the credentials of the candidate and eligibility remarks from the candidate’s database and the available choices specific to the candidate based on his/her credentials are shown.
• Click on Choice Filling. Candidates should save the choices and simultaneously click on “Save and Continue”.
• Finally, candidates have to click on “Save and Go Home” after successful completion of the choice filling.
• Candidates can submit choices, modify, delete, and change order as many times as required during the Registration and Choice Filling period.
• To submit the choices, click on: “Lock Choice”.
• During locking process, candidate is required to enter the password and then only system proceeds for locking of choices.
• After successful choice filling and locking, candidate can take the print out of the Locked choices.
