A small nickel of knowledge

Likes

I do like that there is a sense of togetherness that the college endorses
The surroundings provide a love for nature and help us to learn as we look too
Th faculty provides all the help that a student needs for their present and future education

Dislikes

The hierarchial system in place that poses a government office setup
The increase in fees in the last quarter that has imposed trouble for students
The extensive course schedule that is very hard for the students

Internships Opportunities:

There are number of internships provided by tge college. Even though im unaware of all the names of the internships, there are several bank internships provided directly by the the banks, for the 4th year students. Also there are interships to do when studying Masters that offer stipends upto 20,000 or more.

I am happy after Bsc Agri.

Likes

I have liked my course because of its exposure towards the farmers.I have enjoyed my campus life
I have liked the hostel facilities and ground facilities.
I have enjoyed every arts festival in my college and helped my college sin title's.

Dislikes

I didn't like the exams as there are so many of them
During online time our university was careless and our 3 months were wasted.

Internships Opportunities:

As per the RAWE module we get 8000 rupees per month as stipend.There are many companies offering internships with stipend like VKS AGRI-TECH,AGRI INTERN.There are also internship offered in krishibhavan.

An brief outlook on College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara

Likes

Good college life, enjoyed the campus life and its exposure
Has many tours and programmes which makes the course interesting
Good and experienced faculty , student friendly staffs.

Dislikes

Placement opportunities are less and irregular.
Infrastructure facilities in the hostel is old and need maintenance

Internship is a RAWE programme offered in the course in the 7th semester. Monthly 8000rs is recieved as stipend for the various modules and activities students takes part in. Provides good exposure to students

My opinion

Likes

Campus is very good. It is very vast for exploring
The ground is another factor. We play football and volleyball at evenings
Hostel facility and junior senior relationship

Dislikes

Rearing and pest box, herbarium , record
The course is too tight. We were corona batch.so we were late for joining. It congested our couse
Little free time due to various submissions

Internships Opportunities:

I don't know much about internships. Our college provides jobs on various fields. Many of our seniors got jobs on banks and as agriculture officers. They also prepare for CAT, JRF, SSC,SRF, etc. many job opportunities are awaiting

Placement Experience:

Federal bank, SBI, Rallis, VFPCKetc visited the campus for placement drives. Around 10 to 20% students are getting placed every year. Most of the agricultural graduates are placed in government sector than private sector. There is a placement cell working in the campus to prepare students for placement season.
