The BSc Agriculture program is a 4-year course with 8 colleges, offering 10 to 12 subjects per college annually. Each subject is taught by a lecturer, with some subjects including both theory and practical classes. Lecturers range in age from 30 to 60 years, and while some are alumni, most hold a PhD in their respective fields.
There is a shortage of faculty, with a faculty-to-student ratio of 0.05, resulting in multiple responsibilities for individual faculty members. Despite this, faculty members are well-qualified, supportive, and approachable, assisting with academic queries and career guidance. The course involves continuous assessment with mid-semester exams and semester-end exams. The passing rate is 97% among 250 students each semester.
The curriculum, which changes every 7 years, is set to be updated in 2024.
