BITS Design School Courses

The BITS Design School offers a full-time and 48-month duration Bachelor of Design (Hons.) course at the UG level. An industry-driven curriculum has been adopted by the college to deliver course content, and to provide a horizon of domains to explore, it comes in different specializations. Throughout the course duration, individuals get to explore domains like material studies, social media communication, visualization and prototyping, AI for design, and designing for the senses. Smart Classrooms: The college has built new-gen, and well-ventilated lecture halls on its campus. BITS Design School Scholarships

The following scholarships are offered by the Admissions Committee of BITS Design School to make sure every student can access high-quality design education irrespective of their financial or personal backgrounds. Also, a student can apply for 1 scholarship at a time.

Merit & Means Based Scholarships: Under this scholarship, fee waiver up to 90% is offered to eligible students in each academic year. And the aim is to empower young minds with employment-oriented education, and amazing opportunities. To avail the benefits of this scholarship, following conditions must be fulfilled by an individual:

• Student's annual family income must not be more than INR 18,00,000
• Design test scores, academic and extra-curricular achievements, and performance of candidates in portfolio interviews are thoroughly considered during disbursement.

Academic Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to students based on their combined performance in design tests, academics, co-curricular activities, and portfolio interviews. All students are considered by default for the benefits. Here fee waiver of up to 75% is given to students and benefits are awarded separately in each year of the B.Des program.

Diversity Scholarship: This scholarship is offered by the college to develop an inclusive and diverse community of students cum designers and changemakers. Students belonging to third-gender students, underrepresented regions*, and students with physical disabilities, are eligible to avail of the benefits. Here also, a 75% fee is waived and is applicable separately for each year of the course.
