SVKM's NMIMS Centre For International Studies Campus Facilities

The campus of SVKM's NMIMS Centre For International Studies is situated on a huge campus and the institution has developed a vibrant, collaborative and inclusive teaching-learning environment for both students and teachers to grow on both personal and professional level. Following are the infrastructure details which CIS has maintained over the years in accordance with national and international standards. 

Smart Classrooms: For the purpose of enforcing quality standards in its teaching and learning practices and environment as a whole, CIS has developed hi-tech classrooms with amenities like Projectors, Smart Boards and Wi-Fi Connection in each. And to be specific, the 714 and 715 classrooms are specifically used for Level 4 and Level 5 teaching. 

Also, the best benefit of smart boards in each classroom is that it makes studies more interactive and engaging for students as well-trained and highly experienced faculties can easily use case studies, videos, PPT and other technology support pedagogies to deliver lectures. Apart from this, each faculty is allotted a separate workstation with terminals and wi-fi connection. 

Library: With the aim of offering a creative learning space to students and helping them in enhancing their knowledge through additional sources, the NMIMS CIS has established an ultra-modern, well-furnished and fully air-conditioned Library on the second floor of the campus. 

The Library is situated on a huge area of 7000 sq. ft of land, has seating capacity of 300 students and is also a home of a vast collection of textbooks, reference books, periodicals, newspapers, research papers and national and international journals. 

Apart from this, this space is divided in 3 sections namely the Staff Area, Reading Hall and Stacking Area and also has a secured 3M Security Gate, Wi-Fi Facility and CCTV Cameras. All the operations of the library are automated using Koha Library Automation Software. Last but not the least, the library provides interlibrary loan services to students and remains open on all weekdays from morning 8.30 AM to evening 8 PM.

Computer Laboratory: There is also a Computer Center in college with a strength of 56 computers and wi-fi facility and required software installed on each system. And this lab is mainly developed to make students digitally proficient, assist them in projects, research work and assignment and also to make best use of online learning platforms.

Auditorium Facility and Seminar, Conference Rooms: As we all know that to grow in today’s competitive world, it’s very essential for students to not only gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of subjects but also the required practical exposure through direct interaction with corporate experts. Hence, SVKM NMIMS campus has established a new gen auditorium followed by conference and seminar rooms to organize events and activities such as workshops, guest lectures, seminars, conferences from time to time.

Digital Databases: The college also uses various kinds of Company Databases such as CMIE_PROWESS, Capitaline, ISI Emerging Markets, CEIC, Case Study Databases including European Case Clearing House, Harvard Business School Publishing, Law databases namely Legal pundits and Manupatra followed by Marketing Databases including IRS, TVADINDX and IT Database such as Gartner Services to fulfill all its operations and daily activities. 

Cafeteria: In order to serve delicious, fresh and tasty breakfast and meals to both students as well as faculty members at an affordable price, a big canteen has also been set up by the college on its campus. Also, this place is used by students for informal chit-chat with their peers, to relax and rejuvenate themselves after their classes.

Sports and Fitness: For the NMIMS CIS, along with offering finest quality education to students, it's equally important to ensure that they remain fit and healthy all the time, both physically and mentally. Hence the institution has made all arrangements for students to play a plethora of indoor and outdoor sports activities such as Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Carroms, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Throwball and Volleyball etc.

Transport: The college also has enough transport facilities for pickup and drop of students and staff members from nearby locations. Apart from this, there is a full-fledged gym with the latest machines, where students are free to do different body building exercises.

Hostel Facility: With the objective to give a home-like environment to students away from their home so that they can pursue the college course comfortably, NMIMS CIS offers separate and full-fledged hostels and 3 rented residential accommodations to both girls and boys. Also, all these hostels are well-resourced with all kinds of necessary facilities such as shared rooms, attached washrooms, drinking water and 24*7 electricity supply, internet facility and mess followed by value added services. 

Apart from this, every year students are given the access of hostel rooms during academic sessions and are required to vacate the same rooms during summer vacation for maintenance work. And to avail the facility, students are needed to submit the application form and hostel fee along with all mandatory documents.

Counseling Services are also available for students in college free of cost and a dedicated counselor is appointed for the same who work dedicatedly from 10 AM to 5 PM from Monday to Saturday.

Student Enrichment: For the purpose of offering a rejuvenating experience after their lectures and labs, the institution conducts enrichment week every year on emerging technologies and topics like Entrepreneurship, Innovation Opportunities and Social Responsibility. 

HR Connect: As the name itself is self explanatory, the college organizes dedicated sessions on employability opportunities and panel discussion on topics like "Building an Inclusive, Equitable, and Diverse Workplace" in collaboration with HR of leading industries so that students can explore opportunities for knowledge creation through interaction with HR practitioners.

In other words, the Art Club of NMIMS CIS has built a thriving community to welcome new talents and the Kalakruti event which is organized every year is nothing but the extraordinary fusion of fine arts and performing arts and includes events on dance, music, and theater. Apart from this, Musicians and Actors who are invited to events, fill the auditorium with sweet melodies and breathtaking acting.

• Eco Finance Club: As the name itself is self explanatory, this club has been established with the aim to organize such events that can give general knowledge to students of how the stock market works and importance of financial freedom through investing and trading. 

• Community Service Club: This club conducts volunteering events and community service programs and involve students in the same to make them socially responsible and sensitive. Apart from this, students are taken on visits to various local non-profit communities and also the Art for Akansha and National Society for Equal Opportunities for the Handicapped (NASEOH) so that they can understand people’s problems and think of innovative solutions for the same.
