Tagore Medical College from my POV

Likes

The college has a very dedicated set of faculties who are very supportive. The faculties are easy to approach and very friendly. Every faculty is well experienced in their subject.
The college not only focuses on our academic development but extracurricular activities. There is a huge cricket ground in campus where we can play sports. There is also a college band.
The library is open till 8 pm. The library has prep ladder tablets which students could make use of.

Dislikes

The infrastructure could be a little more developed

Admission:

I applied to all the government medical colleges across the country through All India quota. I also applied to all the state government colleges and semi government Colleges[ Self financing] through the State counselling. I didnt get accepted into government colleges because of high cut-off for the general category. I did get accepted into Srinivasa Private University before getting accepted into Tagore medical college. Srinivasa was still under construction and lacked patient flow. Another factor which made me choose Tagore medical college over Srinivasa medical college was the fee. Tuition fee - 560000 per year Total fee - 1100000 per year Another college which I got and didn't choose was Adiparasakthi Medical college, Melmaruvatur. The reason I didnt choose this college was it was very distant from my home in Chennai and there was no day scholar option available when i enquired. Overall with the comparison of all colleges I got I chose Tagore medical college as it was better off in every Aspect.

A look into Tagore medical College

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is good
The teaching staff are very cooperative and available all the time to resolve our queries
The medical equipments are quite well advanced according to the generation. The patient outflow is quite good with gives the students a good exposure

Dislikes

The maintenance of the building could have been much improved
More clinical studies should be focussed as it will help to gain experience

Admission:

I opted this college as it was situated in the main city i.e chennai. The travelling is much easier. Also the college is graded under top 10 private colleges of chennai. The other colleges i opt for was government colleges. As the cut off for government college were high I didn't make into one

Likes

The college provides a very good academic exposure, there are good facilities which aid with practical exposure too. Regular schedule of exams which provide enough training to attend the final university exam
The faculty of the 1st year are very good with great teaching methodology. Enough lab and hospital exposure is given. Research opportunities are also available for interested students
The infrastructure is developing and there are sufficient hospital amenities which are useful for personal and professional development

Dislikes

The inflow of patients to the hospital is not as much as other medical colleges, hence, exposure to a variety of cases is not given
College does not focus much on extra curricular activities, they are still developing on sports and cultural activities
The fees structure could be reconsidered

Admission:

In Chennai, TMCH is one of the best private medical colleges, hence I chose this college over the other private medical colleges. I had applied for government colleges but didn't get through due to the cut off. The admission is solely on the basis of the NEET UG scores and with different eligibility requirements as per the category they fall into.

Tagore happiest place ever

Things I could say is the campus it's very big .the campus covers Dental college, medical College, AHS plus seperate hospital
Doctors all were sooo talented in this hospital and also the staffs
Chairperson is such a good person,she always welcome everyone with a good smile !

Dislikes

Being first batch of AHS in Tagore we didnt had enough knowledge thats a big drawback
The location i struggled a lot from t.nagar to rathinamangalm it's very difficult fome there is no enough transport to that route
There is no specific place for AHS students for lunch time . We have to eat in our demo class rooms but now evrthg got changed

Admission:

Actually at the very first I applied in MGR even I got seat , but later family members told me to wait for the government courta,so I waited but I didn't get Bsc.PA course instead I got physiotherapy etc So again I contacted them in MGR they restricted my proposal. Then later I went to MIOT , MMM, all seats are closed .. finally went to SRM about to join but one of my friend gave intro about tagore , so I compared the fee structure so obviously it's very affordable compared to SRM so I choosed Tagore. There is no specific exams for my course , such a easy course to apply as a biomaths students after 12th . About admission they charged 10,000 for each . All went good
