Our college

Likes

Faculties are really good and experienced and supportive
Good climate and environment. Has a positive impact on health
Peaceful atmosphere to study thus calm and quiet environment

Dislikes

Less number of faculties in department and small department
Difficult to reach and hilly terrain paths are not appropriate

Admission:

Admission is got after passing the NEET UG entrance exam.For each category there is a minimum cut off required to become eligible for admission into the course.Each year exam is conducted only once. After results 3 to 4 allotments are conducted.Admission can be acquired through all India quota or state quota.

Likes

Faculties are really good and approachable
Hilly terrain, thus it provides a good health
Cool and peaceful atmosphere it provides nice ambience to study

Dislikes

So many facilities are lacking here like lab
There are no facilities to develop arts club.
Less patients exposure for our training.

Admission:

First, we have to apply for neet UG entrance exam. Then secure a good rank. After that, admission processes start. For each category, there is a minimum mark. We have to submit our sslc certificate, adhar, photo, sign, thumb impression etc. A college will be alloted based on your score in Neet.

Likes

Good climate and environment for study in the college.
Different cases of patients coming every day to the hospital.
Faculties are extraordinary and are the best in the state.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not well and lacks many facilities.
College library is not good and is very small.
All the departments lacks faculties for teaching

Admission:

The exam called national eligibility entrance test was conducted by national medical commission .The application are called by this agency every year mostly in the may. Reservation benefits are applied for different categories.

Government medical College Idukki in my own view

Likes

The faculties are very good at teaching. All faculties are teaching like their baby
There is no ragging in college which is to be mentioned

Dislikes

The patient flow to the hospital, since this hospital is situated into a remote area and also Idukki is comparatively less populated
The infrastructure comparing to other colleges are less in Idukki all the infrastructures are under construction

Admission:

I passed secondary school then I took the National entrance exam for medical also called NEET. I got a score of 596 which means I got admission to Government medical College Idukki in the second allotment of Kerala. I belong to the OBC category so I have a little reservation. application form and fee application date will be announced through the Kerala Government website. The NEET exam is conducted yearly and it is moderately tougher.

Likes

The environment here is absolutely good for study and the climate is also nice.
The course fee is affordable for the commoners.
The teaching faculty is also are of good standard.

Dislikes

The campus is not good and there is nothing here for enjoyment.
Thers is teaching staff deficiency in all the departments.
The patients are less in this medical College.

Admission:

I got the seats through national eligibility entrance test conducted in 2022 .The application for the exam was released in 2022 December and exam was in May 2023 and results published in September first week and I secured all India rank 24519 and Kerala medical rank of 1749 which help me to get admission in government medical college Idukki in the second allotment and the classes starts in late November.

College campus reachability and infrastructures are poor

Admission:

Admission process was not very easy we should submit many documents for the admission . Whole process takes place within 2-3 hours cut off for entrance exam depends on your reservation benefits . Area for improvement is speed up of procedure

Likes

Faculties are very accountable and knowledgable
Hills are very high so no need of gym and we will be physically fit
Nice climate ad atmosphere as there is not hot climate

Dislikes

Every department has less facilties amd faculties
Hilly terrain so difficult to reach and less vehicle
Less population density so less patient population

Admission:

I wrote Neet exam.Cut off was 540 and i got seat I got application from google and i applied neet exam is normally tough the frequency of exam is tough and i wrote it well but it was not up to the mark

Collage faculty is very helpfull and supportive.
Very beautifully campus and loving peoples
Arts and soprts fests and programmes is amazing

Dislikes

Collage facilities are less and not enough
Hostel is not there for boys and girls hostel is not working
Lab facilities are not available and no patients

Admission:

In kerala board exam 12th pass with high marks . And first register at nta site and in keral we want to apply in keam site.application is applicabe as per the rules. Cast reservation is applicable .Exam is not very hard moderate level
