Harsha Institutions Bangalore Faculties : Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 23 Reviews

The college faculty predominantly hails from Karnataka and Kerala, with a teaching style that is generally easy to understand and supportive. The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:44, with eight faculties for around 350 students. There are concerns about faculty shortages, leading to instances where one teacher handles multiple subjects. Faculty members provide notes and are approachable for doubt-clearing sessions, fostering a friendly and interactive learning environment.

Exams, including 2 sessionals, 2 prefinals, and 1 semester exam per semester, are considered moderate in difficulty, with about 85% of students passing. However, there are complaints about certain teachers being repetitive or showing partiality based on state, caste, or gender. Overall, faculty members are described as knowledgeable, supportive, and friendly, with a few exceptions noted for less favorable behavior.

Faculty:

The college has a great faculty the majority of them will be from karanataka and kerala. Their teaching methods are great and easy to understand. They are friendly and i am not mentioning the names of the ones i like and don't like because its not comfortable for me. Our HOD is a great person she doesn't teach us but when we face any hardshios she will be there with us, then there is our english teacher her teaching is amazing and its easy to understand. The one i most like is our hindi mam, she is from kerala. It is so much fun to be with her. She is funny and a little bit childish but this is what makes her classes unforgettable. Then there is our modern banking sir he is also from kerala i dont like him beacause he always says the same thing, he reapeats the same thing he said not for one hour but even for days and its so disturbing we informed him that its annoying and teach us from the syllabus but he wont listen, so now there are two teachers for modern banking to help us. The exams are comparitively easy from other university exam if we study properly we can ace the exams. Alot of students do clear the axam and yeah sime if them fails but i personally dint think thats beacause the exams are tuff they are nit studying thats all.

Our Allied health science class had student from various courses together as one batch ,so we had 6/30 student pursuing optometry. We had two teachers for optometry subject and subject wise teacher for common subject like anatomy , physiology etc.Pravin Sir ,our class was my favourite faculty because he was the type of teacher who would push you till you make it.He really went to great lengths to help us, he conducted regular test and also pre-exam.There is no particular faculty whom I disliked because we were treated really well because we were from different state and also they were big fan of my hometown. There are around 4 internal exam every year and regular class test. Our internal's marks were calculated and sent to university.Any paper will be difficult if you didn't prepare for it but as far as I know the paper were from medium to difficult level . Everyone who prepared cleared the exam but those who took college for granted didn't clear any of the subjects. The curriculum is very much relevant to our courses, they regularly arrange CME's , quizzes and tests.

Faculty:

The faculty are good. But shortage of faculties will be there. For some subjects, there will be no faculties for teaching some subjects. We have to study alone or for some subjects faculty again and again, so that make our studies little miserable. The internal exams are simple. we can score good marks on that, but sometimes this will be very difficult. it is also applicable for sem exams

We have currently 8 faculties for almost 350 student. The name of the faculty i liked most is ambrika mam, surekha mam, nisha mam, sindhu mam. I like their teaching style and her behavior is very nice. Faculty i don't like is sahana mam, bharat sir. Because their behavior is very bad to their student. So in every semester total 5 exams are held (2 sessional, 2 prefinal and 1 semester). Exams are very difficult so around 85% student passes the exam.
