VBS Mumbai Admission FAQs

Ques. Is getting admission into Vivekanand Business School tough, or is it more about profile and interview performance?

Ans. Getting into Vivekanand Business School is not very hard, but it’s not easy either. You need a decent entrance exam score, good past academics, and to do well in the interview.

Even if your score is average, having strong extracurriculars or work experience can help. The interview and your communication skills are very important and can make a big difference in getting selected.

Ques. Does Vivekanand Business School accept students with low entrance scores if other parts of the profile are strong?

Ans. Yes, Vivekanand Business School can accept students with lower entrance scores if the rest of the profile is strong.

They look at the overall profile, including academics, extracurricular activities, work experience, and interview performance. If you speak well, show clear goals, and perform confidently in the interview, it can make up for a low score and increase your chances of getting admission.

Ques. Is there any management quota or direct admission scene in VBS Mumbai?

Ans. Ans. VBS Mumbai does not have a management quota or direct admission for its PGDM program. Admission is purely merit-based, using entrance exam scores, personal interview & sometimes profile evaluation. Unlike some other Mumbai institutes, VBS doesn’t offer seats bypassing merit. Any claims of direct admission are unofficial and not true.

Ques. What’s the interview and actual selection process like for VBS Mumbai admission – do they reject people or is it just a formality?

Ans. Getting into Vivekanand Business School is not just a formality, it is a proper selection process. First, they shortlist students based on entrance exam scores & academics and work experience Then, shortlisted students go through GD& PI. In the end, they look at everything together to decide. So yes, many students do get rejected, especially if they don’t do well in GD/PI or don’t seem like a good fit.
