School of Data Science & Business Intelligence Scholarship
SDBI offers scholarships to its students based on their merit performance. Scholarships can go from 10% up to 30% based on a student's academic achievements. Although these scholarships offer only partial funding support, usually in the form of a contribution to fees.
Note(s):
- Candidates also need to plan ahead so they can meet the deadlines for scholarship applications.
- Candidates cannot apply for scholarships until they have been offered a place.
In the interest of students, SDBI has come up with a unique scholarship policy called “Pay after Placement”.
- Enroll yourself with SDBI by filling the application form.
- If the students satisfy the cut-off of the institute for Pay after Placement, they will receive a mail from the institute.
- Pay a nominal fee per semester and remaining fees only after getting a job. Nominal fees charged per semester will be:

Ans. The institute will assist students to secure employment after graduation by utilizing its connections to recruiters and through in-house placement committees. The program also provides personalized instruction on resume writing and best practices for job interviews. Ans. During the program, it is mandatory for students to participate in summer internships with companies offering a role in sync with both student's interests and course offerings.

Ans. The program is based in Mumbai. Lectures will be conducted at Patkar- Varde College, Goregaon West. Classes will be typically held Monday through Saturday during the day. Students take classes together as a cohort.

Ques. How does the Diploma in Data Science and Business Analytics differ from Engineering and Computer Science Courses?
Ans. Data Science is an amalgamation of Mathematics, Computer Science and Domain Expertise. A combination of machine learning, statistical research and data processing is what makes a data scientist.
Ques. Is the work experience necessary for the program?
Ans. No, this program is designed to be academically challenging and quantitatively rigorous. You do not need work experience to be successful in this program.
Ques. What is QAT?
Ans. Quantitative Aptitude Test (QAT) is an online entrance test for the Bachelors and Masters program in Data Science and Business Analytics conducted by the School of Data Science and Business Intelligence (SDBI) to ensure that the students of all backgrounds, boards, and streams are at par with no biases in the admission process. The test will be conducted online every Saturday starting in the month of May. The score will be available in the student login immediately after appearing for QAT.
Note: Students may have to sit for Personal Interview after writing the QAT exam to ensure students from non-technical backgrounds have sound knowledge of Maths and Statistics and are suitable to join the course.
Ques. What is the syllabus of QAT?
Ans. The subjects with weightage for QAT are as follows:
- Math + Stats: 70% weightage
- English: 30% weightage
- 100 marks test of 2 hours consisting of 70 MCQs.
- Incorrect answers will result in a 25% negative marking.
