After completing my 12th I thought of my higher study and applied to Prasad Polytechnic for doing diploma in Mechanical (Automobile) Engineering. My friend was also doing this course from the same college so, I also decided to choose this course. I belong to the OBC category and I am eligible for reservation benefits but, I took admission directly and therefore did not availed it.
Reservation can be availed by the students taking admission through the JEECUP entrance exam. There is separate counseling held for the students taking admission through their JEECUP ranks or marks obtained in the entrance exam.
The only requirement for the admission in diploma in my college is that student should have passed 10th with Maths as a subject or have done ITI.

I have only applied to my college Prasad Polytechnic for a diploma in electrical engineering and for doing graduation (B.A), I have applied to KKC College in Lucknow and also some other distance learning courses. But, after I went to take admission in my college I left the other courses and I took admission there.
I am eligible for reservation benefits but did not avail myself during the admission time as I have no financial problems.
My college gives admission to every student who wants to do a diploma. The only requirement is a 10th pass with Maths for admission in 1st year & 12th or ITI for admission in 2nd year as a lateral entry. There is no age requirement give me some process was good. I took direct admission as one of my relatives had contact with the college and help me in the admission process. I had to carry some documents and the course fees and I got the admission. There is counselling session also for the students taking admission on the JEECUP entrance basis.

I have not applied for any other colleges as I don't have any idea about higher studies after intermediate at that time and therefore I have not decided what to do after doing my intermediate. I have not availed any quota for my admission. Students get admission in two ways either by the JEECUP counselling or by direct admission. It is a private college, therefore marks don't matter at all. I have not done my counselling therefore I don't have any idea about that but I can assure you that there will be no problem during the counselling, but even if you are unable to attend or you miss the counselling, you can get the admission even after the counselling as there are many seats vacant.
