Motihari Engineering College in my Point Of View

Likes

I liked college campus and ground which is very helpful for sports events and practices .
Faculties of our college is very knowledgeable , well qualified and helpful for their students which is one of the best thing of our college. They help us in our academic as well as our non - academic problems.
The quality of the infrastructure is very good new academic building and new hostels have all the facilities like water coolers , CCTV camera , lifts etc.

Dislikes

I mainly disliked the road inside college campus which is in their worst condition . It should be repaired as soon as possible but college authority just ignored this problem.
In our college campus not everyone have friendly nature . All peoples have their own group with their group mentality .
The effectiveness of placement service of our college is almost negligible . They leave us with our own problems . If you have to take a great placement then you have to study hard and making more efforts with yourseves.

Admission:

I choose this college beacuse I am not able to get any NITs( Due to because my JEE MAINS Percentile is quite low for that ) and also this college is one of the best college for Mechanical Engneering in all of the Bihar Engineering Colleges. For admission in our college student should have to give either JEE Mains or BCECE ( Bihar Engineering Examination) after that they should apply for respective counselling process( UGEAC for JEE MAINS other wise BCECE ) and student got college with their respective branches according to their rank or percentile. For top branches like CSE or AI in our college general category student percentile should above 85 and for SC ST it is 70 percentile only. Girls also got some special reservations here.

I liked our sports facilities here because faculties and students both have interest in different - different sports like Football, Cricket, chess, badminton etc.
There are lush green campus of 50 acres area in which different types of trees like Mangos, Blueberries, guava , Jackfruits , Lichi etc. are present . And we enjoys these fruits too much.
Faculties of here are very helpful because they help us in our non- academic problems also.

Dislikes

I mainly dislike the gender ratios in lower branch like our branch Mechanical in which there is no any girl in 2k24 batch.
I also dislike placement here because only 60 % students got placement ( Majority from CSE or AI) . Placement of our branch is negligible here.
Third thing there is requirement of new faculties here because there is no enough faculties present for every subjects and branches.

Admission:

I also applied formechanical Engineering in Muzzafarpur Institute of Technology (MIT) , Muzzafarpur but I have low percentile as requirement for MIT thats why I am not selected in MIT , Muzzafarpur . I named this college after MIT because it is the one of the oldest Bihar Engineering College and also ranked in top 5 Bihar Engineering College that is main reason I selected this college. ` For admission process you have to give exam like JEE MAINS or BCECE ( Bihar Engineering Exam) . After that you go through the respective counselling process means if you are from Jee Mains you have to go UGEAC and if you are from Bihar ENgineering Exam then you have to go for BCECE counselling. You have to do choice filling after that you got college either in first round or in second round.

Here I liked newly builded academic building (NAB) and hostels in which there is every equipments are available.le
Our college have almost 50 acres in area in which there is no any issues for playgrounds and sports facilities .Here you can enhance your sports because here mainly focused rather than study is in sports.
I liked gender ratios in upper branches like us which is almost 3 : 2 ( Boys : Girls) which is improved year by years.

Dislikes

I dislikes old academic building (OAB) and old hostels which are broken from everywhere . They should repair very well and accurately.
I dislike roads of our college campus . they have too much holes (GADDHA) every where .
I dislike placements ratio here which is negligible in lower branches ( like civil and mechanical) and almost 50 to 60% in upper branches like CSE and AI which is very very less than required.

Admission:

I applied for different college in which I also got Muzzafarpur Institute of Technology (MIT) , Muzzafarpur but I don't take admission in MIT because it is far from our residence after that I am being selected for this Motihari Engineering College with CSE-AI branch and I joined this college because it is in our district and almost 13 to 15 Km only from my home. For admission in our college you have to give exams either JEE MAINS or BCECE ( Bihar Engineering) afetr that we have to go for counselling process in which we have to do choice filling . After sometimes counselling result announced and we got college with respective branch accoding to our UR Rank or scores( Percentiles). Cutoffs for CSE , AI like upper branch is around 80 percentile to 90 percentile for OBC and General category and less than 70 are also sufficient for SC ST category. Girls got reservations also.

I will apply in bihar engineearing colleges. And i will get .but this college is not like IIT OR NIT .In bihar state this is a besg engineearing college. Here you enter through jee mains exam or Bcece exam.

According to my point of view there is a good girls to boys ratio in my branch which is 2:3 , in other branches except Civil CA and Mechanical it is 1:3 .
Campus of our college is huge (50 acre) and lush green . Also social interaction in our college is as easy as cooking a maggi , means good social interaction and open minded behaviour of all except some peoples.
Faculties of our college are good ,well educated and understanding . Here i liked most that is New boys hostel, Library and Sports club which are most active club in our college and also provide almost all indoor and outdoor game facilities.

Dislikes

Campus have large area but not well organized and also OBH , Road of college campus and old academic building should repair as soon as possible.
Some senior have bad behaviour and also taking ragging of their juniors .
Main thing I dislike most is here's placement cell because all students have to pay more attention on their skills and gives more efforts own for thier good placements.

Admission:

I applied for MUZZAFARPUR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ,Muzzafarpur but I got this MOTIHARI ENGINEERING COLLEGE beacuse I have low rank in JEE Mains and also got CSE(AI) branch here.. Yes I got rejection from other colleges like MIT, Muzzafarpur because I have low rank in JEE Mains and I have to take CSE Branch. Admission Process of our college is so simple .For JEE mains student we have to apply for UGEAC Counselling , fill the choices we want with branches . After somedays result of conselling being anounced for first round admission and after complition of first round admission according to availibility of seats second round counselling round being announced and after second round of UGEAC there is chances for direct BCECE counselling begins for whom who didn't appear in JEE but they appeard in Bihar Enigeering Exam counducted by BCECE. For JEE Students (BOYS - GEN, EWS, OBC) , top three branches of our college have cuttoff around less than 1500 (UR Rank provided from UGEAC counselling). For SC -ST and Girls there is reservation and they got same branch with rank of 3000(UR).

There is lot of peace in our campus area, as it is far from the city.
There is very experienced and supportive faculty.
College's labs are well maintained, specially the workshop is best.

Dislikes

There is less market which is not good for students
Hostel mess food is average in quality, but it has nonveg for 4 days in a week.

if the student have given the iit exam and if they qulaify in mains they can apply for this college. i found the application form in newspaper and i applied. the teacher were tought very nice in this institute and i learn so many thing from this college. if you have caste cerificate then the fees will be less compare to the other caste and all semester fee will be less.Nice inrastucture and hostel facility also will be there, mess also and computer lab everthing they provide .
