Remarks:

The institute is not giving an campus life in nttf we will not get that. only the classes and labs and it is very hard to follow the rules also and the hostel facilities provided by the Institute is very poor

Management is very good and helpful in all aspect in term of learning, gaining knowledge, best college to learn about plastic mould and press tool designing, material, GD&T etc and will also make you industry ready

What is a personal review of the PGTE and the PGPD course at the NTTF??

My brother did PGPDE from NTTF, so I have some idea about both courses.

PGDE:

  • It is a two-year program that includes Industrial Design (ID), but engineering is also taught alongside ID.
  • Design studios, labs, model shops, and tools are all in poor condition.
  • There will be only one experienced faculty, others will give you assignments only.
  • The emphasis is primarily on engineering, with little or no emphasis on ID.
  • There is no research going on there, and you will not get as much exposure as you would at a Tier II college.

PGTE:

  • PGPDE is a two-year program that focuses on tool and die design, engineering, and analysis.
  • Workshops are available, but the availability of machines does not match the strength of the students, making it difficult to complete projects.
  • There are experienced staff members available, and the teaching is comparatively good. A lot of CAD assignments must be submitted for each semester (which is good for learning in the beginning), but one major disadvantage is that you will never receive feedback on the assignments you submit.
  • AutoCAD and Creo software have been taught. However, in the industry, UG NX and Catia are widely used.
  • Last but not least, many students enroll in PG school NTTF because of placements. To tell you the truth, only a few companies come to campus. Many companies advertised in advertisements visited the campus last decade, but they still keep it in the ad.
  • Nowadays, placements are very poor, either because service-based companies do not visit campus or because the salary offered by them is too low. For the PG programs, the median and maximum CTC offered in current years is 2.5 lakhs and 3.4 lakhs. 

I will advise you to take all these factors into consideration, before choosing PGDE or PGTE at NTTF.

What is your personal review of a postgraduate diploma in Automative Product Design (PGDAPD) at NTTF?

The diploma in Automotive Product Design at NTTF is a recently established one-year program, It offers all the fundamental industry-required skills, alongside a really strong alumni network around and over India. 

The diploma course is a derivation of very specific industry requirements. Nonetheless, it has now reached one of the major levels in the institute. It is in fact a good department to opt for. 

The fee structure is INR 80,000 per semester. It can vary as per the criteria, so it is best that you keep a close check. This course, however, is not accredited by any of the major bodies around the state.
