The college, established nearly 50 years ago by Jawaharlal Nehru, has a limited but highly qualified faculty appointed by the government and recruited through public service commissions, with many having credentials from NITs and IITs. Faculty members are described as knowledgeable, experienced, and cooperative, providing clear and understandable instruction. They are supportive, fostering good human relations and motivating students.
The college offers digital classes, practicals, and seminars to enhance understanding and skills. There are two semesters per year, each comprising two mid-exams and a total of six units. Despite some branches lacking lecturers, the college manages well with its existing staff. Faculty are instrumental in teaching and mentoring, particularly in specialized courses like Metallurgy, which rely heavily on their expertise.
