The student is supposed to have a graduate degree of B.tech or B.E degree with subject like electronic and communication, Engg. Telecommunication, Engg. Information and Telecommunication, Engg. Electronics and communication, Engg. Information technology from a recognized college or institution.
The selection of students is done on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by the institute for M.tech course.
The marks required for qualifying the exam and the admission process differs from institute to institute although an aggregate of 60% is said to be required in the bachelor’s degree for admission.
The students must have an aggregate of 60% in their bachelor’s degree in B.E or B. Tech. The counseling is conducted directly by college or by different institute related to the field.
The form for counseling by colleges is generally issued in the month of June-July and invites application from the students.
The admission fee for the course is up to INR 1-1.5 Lacks with 10,000 as safety deposit which will be returned after the programme. The tuition fees can differ from college to college.
*The selection of students is based on the valid marks of GATE exam that is conducted before the admission as an entrance test.
There are a number of entrance exams that are conducted all over the country. A few of them are listed below:
ENTRANCE EXAM | INSTITUTE |
---|---|
GATE- Graduate aptitude test in engineering | Indian institute of technology |
