Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Salem, offers courses in B.Tech Handloom & Textile Technology and a Diploma in Handloom and Textile Technology. The admission is based on guidelines set by Anna University for all courses that are offered. Applications can be downloaded from the website. More details are as follows:

B.Tech admissions are based on scores obtained in JEE Main or TNEA, along with scores in 10+2 in PCM for B.Tech admissions with a 45% aggregate.
B.Tech Lateral Entry admission is merit-based. Depending upon the Diploma held in the corresponding area of Textile and Handloom, or a B.Sc degree.
Diploma admissions are based on scores obtained in class X with English as a core subject. Applications for a Diploma can be downloaded from the website.

IIHT Salem B.Tech Admission 2025

IIHT Salem offers B.Tech. in Handloom & Textile Technology, which is a 4-year program. Admission to this program is based on the score in JEE Main or TNEA, followed by Tamil Nadu State (TNEA) counselling.

IIHT Salem B.Tech Eligibility Criteria-

The student must have cleared HSC or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. The applicants must have a valid JEE Mains or TNEA score.

IIHT Salem B.Tech Selection Criteria-

The selection of the candidate will be done based on the rank obtained in JEE Mains or TNEA.
After the selection, the applicant will be called for the final interview by the college.

The admission process at the college is easy. Since 2019, JEE Mains is required for admission. Students need at least 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Math combined, and improvement marks are not accepted. Admission is based on the rank from the same year. There are 60 seats, with reservations for Tamil Nadu students: 50% for OBC (27%), SC (15%), and ST (7.5%).

In this college is fee are very affordable for all can or can't students . the other colleges related to handloom technology is fair as tamilnadu it is the only college placed in tamilnadu under delhi university. admision process for my college is only available at college visit and counselling available at delhi university by online method.

Admission:

Eligibility of these course is ranked minimum cutt of of the Engineering program. There is no entrance exam. Reservation is for SC/ST and 7.5 reservation under state government of tamilnadhu.When tamilnadhu Engineering counselling was open one should join for this college should prefer this as the first priority. By attending the counseling you should give your full details to the Institution.

My college

Admission:

ADMISSION: Admission process was really simple while I was applying for the course. From the year 2019 JEE MAINS is mandatory for admission. 45% minimum average of mathematics, physics, chemistry put together. Improvement marks will not be considered. Admission is based on the merit of rank obtained by the candidate in the corresponding year. SEATS AND RESERVATIONS: Seats available: 60 Tamil Nadu candidates - 50% of seats OBC - 27% SC - 15% ST - 7.5% PROS: Very low tuition fees. College provides degree and diploma for only a single branch so there are only very few students studying on campus which makes the teaching learning process more transparent. Campus is filled with trees basically neem trees which makes it a better place stay positive. CONS: Tamil Language is used by most of the lectures.
