Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering is an undergraduate engineering degree of four year duration. 10+2 pass students with science subjects are eligible to take admission in this course. Admission in most of the colleges offering Civil Engineering is done though any of the entrance tests conducted at national and state level.

Average tuition fee for this course ranges between 2 to 4 lakhs in most of the public institutes and 3 to 6 lakhs in private colleges. However there are some government colleges which offer this course at very less tuition fee.

Civil Engineering is not that much popular course of choice due to the software and electronics boom of the past two decades, which has pushed this field into the sidelines. Candidate should have passed 10+2 with PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) with 50% marks from recognized board.

2. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow conducts an entrance examination for 85% seats.The candidates are allotted branches on the basis of their merit through counselling conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.
3. For 15% seats candidates can apply for direct admission. Admission will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in qualifying exam and /or respective entrance exam as per the policies of the University .
