At SIET, students can participate in placements starting from their 7th semester, with the highest package reaching 8.5 LPA and an average package of 4 LPA. Typically, 8 to 9 students from each branch secure placements annually, with companies like Byju's involved in the process. While formal on-campus internships are not offered, students are encouraged to seek their own internships, which are supported by the college through required seminar presentations each semester.
The teaching staff is highly supportive, aiding students with both academic and professional queries. As a government institute, SIET offers affordable education, with annual fees approximately ranging from 40,000 to 41,000 INR. Fees are split between semesters, with odd semesters costing around 16,000 INR and even semesters about 25,000 INR, making it more economical compared to other engineering colleges charging around 45,000 INR yearly. Additionally, scholarships are provided through Haryana government schemes, including about 60,000 INR per year for SC and BC students under the PMS scheme.
Students from Jammu and Kashmir may benefit from free engineering education.
