Hiray College experience

Likes

the faculty in this college are really nice and well versed in what they do. all of them have a masters degree and their way of teaching is really good too. and they are also willing to u help u clear doubts during break or after college hours.
this college has all the necessary facilities needed for learning the course. the highlight being the large enough library containing almost all the books you will ever need in ur architecture learning jouney.
then comes college events and workshops. there are many events that are held every year like TARASH, VISIONATA, MERAKI etc which are a really great opportunity for exposure,meeting new people amd learning new things.different workshops are held often

Dislikes

main would be the campus. It doesnt really have much of a campus. its just a building and a cafe area. theres no proper parking space for student vehicles either
hostels are good and really value for money here. but the availability is quite scarce as the hostel is only the entire 3rd floor of the building

Admission:

i got my admission to this college through the cap allotment system. in the cap allotment i applied for other colleges like SEA (mumbai), L.S Raheja (mumbai), Kamla Raheja (mumbai) and a couple more i cant recall with Hiray college being like the 5th of my preferance. Im a non maharashtrian so most of the colleges have majority seats reserved for maharashtra domiciles and my percentile was 70% in 12th which could be the reason why i was alloted this college. In my home state (kerala) i applied to colleges through KEAM entrance exam and was alloted to SCMS School of Architecture (Ernakulam). I took my admission there as cap allontment results hadnt been published at that time. i transferred from SCMS in kochi to Hiray college in Mumbai with expectations for better exposure and opportunities. the admission process was rather easy in my college. we just had to go there submit a few documents like cap allotment result, aadhar card, 10th and 12th marksheet, domicile certificate, income certificate (for fee waivers or EWS category students) etc, fill their admission form and pay the fees. overall cutoff of this college is rather low as ik a few of my have gotten admission even with just 60% in their 12th. the exam accepted for this course is NATA and the cutoffs for this course is calculated considering both 12th percentile and NATA score.

Helpfull faculty, they are ready to navigate even in middle of lunch
Assignment submission has enough time to be done
Good fee structure u get emi option also

Dislikes

Small campus no amenities like ground etc
Far from bandra station..very time consumed in finding rikshaw
Canteen has not so many choices half items were missing

Admission:

This college was pure related to architecture college unlike others if u compare other college they has only 2 floors of campus and some staffs which they call campus... The fee was very pocket freindly among other architect college The aligiblity is the same as coa criteria

Likes

Great learning experience Had a great time with faculties for all 5 years
Chance to explore different subjects and deepen my knowledge in areas of interest
Supportive faculty they try solving every problem and difficulties

Dislikes

The campus is a bit conjusted large class size makes it difficult to engage with professor and get personalized attention
Finding parking space on campus is challenging especially during peak times
It lacks green environment with limited outdoor spaces . Inconsistent or slow internet connection

Admission:

Eligibility criteria for this course is after 12 th with atleast min 50 percent The entrance exam given in nata which is all over india examination for 200 marks where you score atleast 75 marks For having a great college you score atleast 130 marks The exams is somewhat easy or difficult also

You need to clear NATA national aptitude test in architecture and you can also give JEE paper 2 and boards is compulsory you can apply for colleges from Maharashtra CET site for eligibility you need a minimum of 50% in boards in physics chemistry and mathematics these subjects are compulsory for the admission and eligibility.

HIRAY OF ARCHITECHTRURE

Admission:

I applied for hiray Pillai JJ and also Rachna Raheja etc and I got admission here in the first listen to HIRAY college and hence I took admission here.no quota was availed for this college admission. admission criteria were minimum of 60 percent and NATA competitive exam and also donation admission is also given. admission age was around 17 years that is 12th complete. The admission process was offline and the first day was student teacher orientation program and then there as the workshop on model making for almost 2 hrs and it was super fun and they taught us about that like introduction to architecture

MCA in mind Hiray is your choice

Admission:

Teachers are concerned about students to complete their syllabus and practical on time. Fees of college is less as compared to other colleges for MCA all over Mumbai. Way too much of giving practical for practice. Admission process was done according to State Common Entrance Test. Even if student gets less percentile in CET you can still opt for this college and gain good knowledge.
