The faculty at MYCEM are effective and approachable, ensuring fairness in grading and student understanding. Under the 2018 evaluation scheme, students underwent three internal assessments, each worth 40 marks, with the average contributing to the external score. A final exam per semester was initially 100 marks, later adjusted to 60 marks, with the internal assessments making up the remaining 40 marks.

In 2018, the civil engineering fee under a management seat was approximately 75,000, while SC/ST students received full funding and paid only 4,000. The fee structure was consistent across all branches. Additionally, students could benefit from the Vidhya Siri scholarship, which offered around 17,000.
