Mysore College of Engineering and Management (MYCEM) is a private college located in the village of Chikkahalli in the city of Mysore, Karnataka. Mysore College was established in the year 2015. The college is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University located in Belgaum, Karnataka. The college is approved by the AICTE and recognized by the Government of Karnataka. MYCEM Ranking by Collegedunia was 701 out of 762 Engineering Colleges in 2025.

MYCEM offers BE course as its flagship program. To be eligible for admission, candidates must secure a minimum of 45% marks (40% in the case of the reserved categories) in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. MYCEM offers BE as its flagship course. The total seat intake is 360. MYCEM B.E. Fees range from INR 1.96 lakhs to INR 7.64 lakhs for the 4-year program. There is also a provision for lateral entry into the BE program (i.e, direct entry into the second year after diploma).

MYCEM Admission 2025 Application Process

Admissions at Mysore College of Engineering & Management (MYCEM) are offered on the basis of scores obtained in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test, COMEDK UGET. 15% of the seats which come under the management quota are offered on the basis of marks obtained in the previous examination.

How to apply?

Candidates can find the application form on the official website of Mysore College of Engineering & Management (MYCEM).
The application form can be filled out online and also downloaded.
The application form is divided into various sections.
In the first section, candidates have to fill in the Application number, the program sought (CS, CE, EC, IE, ME), and the admission quota (KCET, MGT, COMED-K/DIP).
In the second section, candidates have to fill in personal information such as name, sex, place of birth, date of birth, nationality, caste, religion, mother tongue, blood group, category, mobile number, and email ID.
In the third section, candidates have to fill in the details of their parents, such as name, occupation, mobile number, and annual income.
In the fourth section, candidates have to fill in details of previous examinations such as college name, college code, city, year of passing, state exam passed, phone, medium, and marks and percentage scored in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
In the fifth section, candidates have to fill in address details such as district, state, Pincode, and home address.
The application fee is INR 200.
Finally, candidates have to fill in bank details such as account number, name, branch, and place.
In the seventh section, candidates have to fill in details of entrance tests such as scores of CET or COMED-K, Registration Number, and Rank.
Candidates have to paste their latest passport-size on the form and provide their signature.

MYCEM offers the following facilities to its students-

Central Library

Mysore College of Engineering & Management (MYCEM) introduced its central library in the year 2015 which consisted of Books, e-books, Journals, and Magazines. The library has approximately 150 seats for students in the reference section. The library is using the software known as KOHA for maintaining the books. The public catalog has more than 4.8 thousand books.

Sports Facilities

The college not only believes in education but also in physical fitness. The college has a playground which is used by the students to play games such as cricket, football, basketball, and various other games.

Conference Room

The college has a conference room which is equipped with all kinds of the latest technology which is very helpful for the students and the faculty.

Transport Facility

Buses are running from Monday to Saturday in the morning and evening shifts. Students who have opted for the transportation facility are picked up from their house and dropped back. An Ambulance is also available on campus for emergencies.

Hostels

The college has hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Food, cleaning, and washing services are available for the students in the hostel. The rooms, furnished with beds and tables, are shared by 2 or 3 students.

I liked the uniform as it promoted unity and equality.
One thing I liked about my college is the discipline they follow.The structured environment ,punctuality and well-defined rules created a positive atmosphere for learning .

I disliked the lack of fun due to fewer events and fests.

An indept feedback on my college life at Mysore College Of Engineering And Management

Likes

The only positive thing that I like is they r generous when giving marks
The campus is not huge but it's quite peaceful and far from any sort of disturbance
There is no unnecessary fine imposed on the students

Dislikes

Management do not have any idea of how the college neeps to run

Admission:

Eligibility for the course is u need to pass the 12th exam in science stream in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics , application forms can be found in the college itself and there is no such fixed date for the admission process the cutoff for the cource depends on the category of the student roughly we can say the cutoff is somewhat around 100000.

My Review

Admission:

Positive remark is that it is in Mysore and New college in Mysuru.Located near big baniyan tree which is quite famous. Negative remark is that one more college of engineering just to make bucks and no new ideas, dreams, passion.Management of this college is worst and facilities are poor compared to other engineering colleges.Can't be compared with other contemporary colleges regarding to academic and other extra curricular activities.
