Muthayammal Engineering College was established in the year 2002. The college is autonomous, approved by AICTE and accredited to NAAC. The college is affiliated to Anna University and is situated in Rasipuram city of Tamil Nadu.

MCE, RASIPURAM offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. At the UG level, the college offers Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in various streams. At the postgraduate level, the college offers the course Master of Engineering (ME) in various streams. The college also offers MCA and MBA courses to its students. Apart from these degree courses, the college also offers Ph.D. in various streams.

To apply for UG courses, a student must have completed 10 + 2 from any recognized board or university.
Students must have obtained at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects.
Reservations are made for deprived community students.
The college also offers lateral entry in the second year of B.E. course.
The college also offers ME course in various streams. A student must have completed Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks to be eligible to apply for PG course.

The college offers the course Bachelor of Engineering (BE) also known as Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in various streams. To be eligible to apply for this course, the student must have opted for Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in his or her 10 + 2 level. The student is also expected to achieve a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in these three subjects respectively.

Key Points:

Appropriate reservations are made for reserved category students. The students belonging to backward class (including minority communities) should have obtained minimum 45% aggregate marks.
Students belonging to most backward classes (MBC) and Denotified communities (DNC) should have obtained minimum 40% marks.
SC/ SCA and ST students should also have obtained minimum 40% marks.
The aggregate percentage is calculated only for PCM subjects.
There is no entrance test applicable for admission in B.E. course.
Those students who wish to get Lateral Entry in this college should have completed graduation with maths at 10 + 2 or graduation level. The percentage requirement is similarly followed by lateral entry admission.

Key Points:

Reserved category students should have obtained minimum 45% marks upon graduation.
Candidates who have obtained graduation degree through Distance Education mode are not eligible to apply.
Admissions are also sought for MCA Lateral entry. For this, the student should possess 10+2+3 degree in BCA/ BSc (IT/ CS) with Maths as a compulsory subject.
For MBA admissions, students having 10+2+3 degree in graduation or 10+2+3 years diploma + 3 years degree are eligible to apply.
BE/ B. Tech/ B. Pharma graduates are also eligible to apply for MBA courses.

The college also offers Ph.D. courses to desirous candidates. The ph.d. course is offered in various technical and nontechnical subjects. The students should submit their applications before the last date which will be announced soon.
Students have to enter all the details regarding their 10th and 12th class results.

Review about MCE

Admission:

The admission process is based on the TNEA Counselling process. The students having specific engineering cutoffs basically from 120 to 170 can get admission in this college via the TNEA counselling process. I selected this college in Counselling because this college has good teachers and good placement records. I did not applied to any other colleges.But I was expecting to get admission in Government Engineering college, Salem. Unfortunately my cutoffs is not enough to get admission there.

Yes, our college admission process was too good they took a cut above 70 percent, and there is don't have entrance exam they took based on the 12th(intermediate) exam mark and they check each subject mark mainly, hematic mats, physics, chemistry, and computer science.

Admission:

Eligibility of this course was 12th maths biology. And then we visit the college and find the application form. Application fees was 5000 and application dates for the new one of the year any of date. Yes the reservation benefit available. Which means government seets are free. I can see in the improvements in admission process so I don't think about it.
