My POV

Likes

Placements activities will be more so students could be used to get more knowledge gain through their careers
Canteen foods worth for the amount provided
Innovation supportive through the staffs and management

Dislikes

Very Less cultural activities and not satisfied with the one day cultural day
One day only sports day that too not organised properly
Only formals inside the college and not having the festive celebrations for all

Internships Opportunities:

College management will try to push you to go for many internships with many set of availability through the guidance and made with the factor of making you a perfect employee through it which could make survive in IT companies

Life in St Joseph's

Likes

The college is really spacious and the have good classrooms and state of the art technology which i find to he really good the college has a beautiful ambiance which i love very much and it is also filled woth greenery both inside and out
The food at this college itls really good they serve non veg 4 days a week and if we have college on saturdays the serve non veg then to
The teachers are really experienced and are very good at their job the have a good relationship with the students and strive to bring out the best in them

Dislikes

The dress code is very strict all students should come go college in full formals this includes tie and formal shoes which is really irritating to wear during summer
The timing of lunch changes for everyone my lunch is at 1 pm which i would consider very late to be eating we would be fully drained and hungry before that lunch

Internships Opportunities:

There are many internships that the staffs let you knw of these internships are sent to you on a whatsApp group that is created for placements they send all the current internships for you to select from and attend

Life at SJIT, Chennai

Likes

Placement opportunities is vast in all fields
Lots of internships, industrial visit opportunities
Food is exceptional and the best in taste and quality

Dislikes

Level of strictness is high. And the punishment is heavy for even small misbehavior
Forced to use college transport even if not required
Social ethics and behavior is not proper in staffs

Internships Opportunities:

Cognizant offers 10000rs stipend for internship. But internship opportunities are a bit less. We have to pursue internships in our own interests. But internships and inplant training is compulsory during course duration.

Likes

The campus here in SJIT is really clean and neat and they maintain it that way everyday
They provide breakfast and lunch for everyone studying and working here and the food is great too
Opportunities for learning and growing is high

Dislikes

I personally don't like the dress code here.Wearing tie and shoes everyday just seems too much.
Only 4 days official leaves are provided for the student per semester and I think it's very very low
Hostel students couldn't go out even in holidays and it is quite annoying.

Placement Experience:

Placements of SJIT is better when compared to other colleges.Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 6 th semester itself.Companies like cognizant,TCS,Zoho visit our college.The average package of placement is 4 lakhs and the highest is 25 lakh.Almost 60 percentage of the student gets placed every year. After getting my degree,I plan to go for higher studies
