KGISL offers scholarships to meritorious and deserving students. It provides the following scholarship based on merit score:100% off on tuition fees for students securing 180 marks and above.It provides a 50% off on tuition fees for students with a cutoff of 170 and above.Students securing 165 marks and above will be given a 25% off on the Tuition Fee10% off in tuition fee for students securing 150 marks and aboveVarious other scholarships are provided based on reserved categories, whether being the first graduate in the family. To apply for the same, students can fill out the application form available online on the official website of the institute.

heavy workload due to tech focused branches

The KGISL Experience

Likes

The availability of the resources in this college is best and the lab facilities , projector ,system in the classrooms helps a lot in our studies.
I like the learning facilities here, It will make you learn the best than other colleges.
Many events such as hackathons, expos and other can makes us to gain more knowledge and experience.

Dislikes

The strict rules sometimes disappoint us and more formalities they have for approving our requests.
The rules of hostel is so much strict like we have to get sign in a letter from higher staffs to go out from hostel in academic days
The constant work loads may pressurize us

Placement Experience:

The placements in the previous years are good but the the plaements are going well because most of the last year students not placed yet. the college invites both technical and non-technical compannies to hier students eventhough there are much students not placed yet.

Well mannered teaching facilities offer higher grades

Dislikes

More importance given to academics than sports
No holidays on Saturdays and getting permission for leave is complicated
Lab facilities should be improved with more equipments

Bosch, Dell, Cognizant offer roles for students with stipend of 15k per month involving in various fields like associates, developer, HR, BPO training etc and their projects are from foreign countries making the students to get to know the interests and markups associated with them

The best thing about my college is that everyday in the college is a new learning day.
Here we get to explore new areas of knowledge.
Activities like lecture demonstration workshops, panel discussions, lectures by guest speakers, competitions, fests,etc.

Dislikes

A small charge for dropping classes and buying or renting textbooks.
Not what I expected and paying hundreds for parking.
Some lecturers are extremely boring and standard testing all the damn time.

Internships Opportunities:

The companies offered internships with stipend are Facebook, Ernst young, Deloitte, Cisco, Blackberry, Apple, American express, Amazon, Accenture, CarMax, etc.\

This is by far one of the safest campuses I've ever visited.
Collaboration with very good and popular companies

Dislikes

Maybe too strict when it comes to access inside campus
Equal importance is not given to all kind of sports

Internships are available from the 5th semester onwards. Many companies offer internships to students with good skills and cgpa. They help the students to not only get job experience but also how to take themselves to the next stage.
