The college has good infrastructure and every classroom has air conditioners. There are smart boards installed in every class and an optional white board as well. There are wifi routes in each class. .
There is even a green room for bmm and baftnmp fields. There is a pre-production Room as well. The classes of bms Bsc IT BA and Bmm are separate

Dislikes

The college even tho it has wifi lags network. There is always a issue with network around the campus. There is no network in our phones, and sometimes in computers as well. The internet is a major issue in the building
Another thing is that, the lectures get cancelled abruptly, without any prior notices due to which people living far away from the college face sever issues.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course syllabus is apt. It covers all the necessary topics which are required to build the basis of your knowledge in the particular subject as well as the advance version of the subject. There are practical sessions of 3 hours each week of the practical subject which gives us an hands on experience for the same.

Likes

The tearchers are very friendly and staff is nice . AC is in every classroom
Toilets are always neat and clean. regular cleaning

Dislikes

In same building there are multiple colleges
It has very strict attendence criteria .

My course provides all the practical knowledge about my field and prepares me for the real world of cinema. It can be improved as some subjects are very irrelevant to our course.

A Fresher's Experience on SVKM'S USHA PRAVIN GANDHI COLLEGE.

Likes

Faculties: I like the way faculties teach in a well-mannered way with interactive PPT's and examples. All of them are well-experienced in this field past 20 years.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is amazing. A big campus to roam in. Washrooms are cleaned. Smart board in classrooms make more interesting, also central air conditioner is present which is must.

Dislikes

Playground: There are no playgrounds where you can play sporting activities. So this is the only backslash of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had an keen interest to get into IT industry and make a career out of it. As I am very up to date in technology terms. So I thought Bachelors of Science in Information Technology is the best course from an commerce background. The syllabus is structured according to the new NEP POLICY,2020 which have implemented from this academic year 2024-2025. A single semester contains 2 major subjects and 6 minor subjects. Exams will not be so tough if you go with complete preparation. You cannot just open a book one night before the exam and study out complete syllabus. You have to go with the flow and time when the teachings are done. Because it will help you to be ready in advance for the exams. Major subjects exams will be conducted of 60 marks each and minor subjects exams will be conducted of 30 marks each.

The infrastructure of the college is very good and the fell after coming to class hits different as they are very clean and properly managed

Dislikes

The teachers use less amount of practical knowledge as in while teaching us they don't use more of a practical part.

BSc IT course is a very vast topic in case of getting a job in an IT field as it consists of AI, ML, Data Science, Data Engineer, and many more domains in which we can pursue our master's. The overall experience is very good because we can land a job with a high package as it's the most booming field right now.

The teaching pattern of the professors is something to be highlighted as they use the latest technology making the concepts easier for the students
Crowd: The peers you meet at this college are dedicated towards their goals and personally I was motivated to do more in life after talking to them and hanging out with them

Dislikes

Delayed notes: The notes given by the teachers are delayed sometimes and that is something which had disturbed many students during the exams.

Primarily the course focused on the theory aspect in the first two semesters, but as we moved forward the agency part kicked in and we were exposed to what is actually required in the real-world. The course is a perfect blend of theory and application

Campus life and interaction with many different people
A person can grow there communication skills and many skills by participating in different communities

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose BSc-it as I was interested in coding languages. the faculty of students is about 70 and these students are divided into two classes. the teaching method of each and every teacher is nice and convenient for the student to understand the sub. teachers are very helpful to students during an exam or in any situation. Exams are taken around every 2 or 3 months. first, there is an internal exam then a practical and the final exam. there is no difficulty in passing the exam if the student has done their job right by studying the subjects from the starting day of college.

Canteens, like they have canteens everywhere, Ground, 7th and 9th.

Dislikes

The attendance rule is a headache sometimes but it is for our own good

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in IT technology which is why I pursued this course. The faculty here is really good and it is very easy to connect to teachers for better understanding. We have smartboards installed in each class which is of great help because the teacher can easily browse anything online and show it to us so that it becomes easier to understand. Internal exams occur mostly one and a half months after the semester starts and the duration of one semester is approx 3.5 months.

The teachers are just amazing, very much understanding.
Placements are beyond excellent for freshers.

Dislikes

There are very less things to dislike but maybe washrooms?
college timings - 6.30 in the morning after lockdown

The college is affiliated with Mumbai University. I choose this course especially in this college because they have a lot of practical work rather than theory. The faculty is the best at UPG. Very understanding and also knowledgeable. The exams are however quite difficult in UPG.
