Environment of college and nature or place where it is situated
Faculties are really amazing and friendly.
The city that is Dehradun is amazing and great.

Dislikes

Bidholi campus is more good as compared to kandoli.
City is far away from college. And it is really difficult
Transportation services are not good here.

College provides internship opportunities in 1st year. And in next years college gives us time in june and july to work in our own srlf internship. This helps us to explore and know more about our intrest.

Staff is always available, approachable and helpful
Library resources and online library with all the resources to help students.
Moot court experience and opportunities.

Dislikes

Not providing attendance for emergency cases.
Portal is always down at the time of important events
Not providing attendance even for representing university at national events

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunities are given to students in their first year for social internship and then in prefinal year for work experience. Cream layer students get internship in other years also like in 3rd year

My college experience

Likes

Things is liked the most is the culture,which is quite diverse and inclusive , all the students is the campus no matter their sexuality religion domicile feels a sense of belonging and a we feeling.
Second thing I liked the most is the no of students maintained in every batch ,no batch exceeds the student limit of 60 ,no matter what your cource is .
This thing I liked about my college is the keenness to upliftment of the students as I can observe in these 3 months of my college ,I have been part of various events organised for the first years for their skills ,such as muns ,youth parliament etc

Dislikes

One thing I didn't like about the college is the accomodation as the no of hostels they have is quite less compared to the students and students need to stay out campus hostels ,which some students prefer as well

Placement Experience:

One thing I must appreciate is that my college is keen to provide internships from now itself, a week ago I had a session regarding the social internship I'll be required to do after my 1st year

The weather is the most favourite thing is loved here as the keeps changing. Here is not more hot days, every night the temperature decrease.
The second most favourite thing is, there are many places where you can go to Rome and hang out with your friends, not only near UPES But also all over Dehradun
Third, most favourite thing is, you can go to nearby places like Mussoorie Dhanulti at weekends which makes you to remain here in this university

Dislikes

The thing I dislike the most is Intoxication in this university, because everyone here, not everyone, but most student here, do alcoholic things which I couldn’t explain like alcohol, cigarettes ganja, etc
The second most disliked thing is to find a friend circle here because it is very difficult to make your friend circle as you can’t find a person like you here. This is the problem I am also facing here
The third most disliked thing Is the small campus and the market is very fare so u have only Saturday sunday to go to market if u have to purchase something

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is available as the college himself provides internship programmes in the main internship program is held in the month of May and July, in which they give us the task to complete this internship, it may be in cleaning feeding etc

no parking for students vehicle inside the campus

according to the brochure and the faculties about 90% students get placements, being a 1st year law students cant get an insight on the placement cell. my plans after my law degree is doing my masters from abroad

Dislikes

While there are Adeucate resources certain facilities like libraries and study areas can be proved to provide a better learning environment. Access to more legal databases and updated materials would also also be beneficial.
Some aspects of curriculum could be more aligned with current legal practises and emerging trends. A greater focus on practical applications, such as internships, and experiential learning, would enhance preparedness of the workforce.
While there are clubs, the overall social interaction among students can feel limited at times, more structured events on networking opportunities could help foster stronger connections and collaborations among peers

Reality of UPES

Likes

Nature around the campus while is all greenery.
Because the camper is situated outside the main city of Dehradun, it is a very pleasant in between of the mountains.
Faculties are quite nice in the college. They encourage student to Work hard, and do good in life

Dislikes

the road connectivity for the college is really bad. There is only a 9 to 10 seater vehicle, which will drop you. You must have your own vehicle or a Scooty.
As the college is taking too much fees, but the placement is not So promising and very low
It’s the second most expensive law, college, which is private in India

Placement Experience:

Placement here is really bad. I mean, yes, there are companies which offers 6 to 9,00,00 rupees package, but you have to work really hard and come out of 1% of the class to get that. I would suggest if you love nature, and you are really eager to work hard. You can survive here and get good placement.

Navigation the Legal Minds: review of UPES academic journey.

Likes

The campus life is awesome, you'll definitely enjoy campus life in the mountains of dehradun. The infrastructure is also good.
The faculties are very supportive. They definitely helps students for their academics and co-curricular activities.
Even the students are and senior students are very cooperative. Overall, the social life is good.

Dislikes

The very first thing which I do not like is the hike of fees every year.
Even the collage administration do not co-operate with the students in terms of their semester fees.
Collage administration do not have any concern regarding the problems of students. For example: Health issues and etc.

Internships Opportunities:

It is true that our placement department do provide the internship opportunity. Earlier they use to provide internship to only senior students but now they have started providing internships to all the students.

The faculty. The teachers are so helpful and kind
The infrastructure, over here is very amazing and in beautiful valley surrounded my mussorie hills
The priority over here is to education and after that fests which are also fun

Dislikes

Crowd. The crowd over here is not as good.
Distance. Being a localite i have to travel 1hr one side
Sometimes some teacher are not as good as compared to others but its okay

Internships Opportunities:

Being a firts year , we have a mandate to undergo a social internship which is held by srijan social internship in which we have to work with ngos 8 hours and for 5 days in a week. Total 40 hours a week in summer break.

Likes

Lush green campus. The nature and the mountain view i get every day from my hostel door is sure mesmerizing
The sports facilities and as I mentioned earlier the gym arena. Trainners at UPES are really friendly and learned
Faculties that are there to help at every slightest inconvenience

Dislikes

Exams right after the fest season as is bit difficult to prepare while enjoying
When the site crashes bcoz of a lot of traffic

Internships Opportunities:

Till now i did a social internship with aaradhya foundation in delhi that was provided by the college. No stipend was provided since it was for a social cause and to teach students the value for money and importance of giving back to the society we live in
