Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET) is an integral institute of Aligarh Muslim University. The college was founded in the year 1938 under the prestigious Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). ZHCET offers 29 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in distinct streams of engineering, technology, and architecture.

ZHCET UG Admission 2024
Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET) offers a number of courses at the undergraduate level, in the fields of engineering. Students seeking admission at this college can apply through the official website of AMU university or the institute itself. The second shift for B.E in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical courses are also offered to the students.
Admission to the B.Tech program is based on the performance of the candidate in the AMU Engineering Entrance Examination conducted annually, and the rank secured subsequently in the examination. Depending on the results of this examination, a merit list is prepared and the selected candidates are intimated regarding the details of the admission process.
- The students applying for B.Tech and B.Arch courses should have passed 10+2 examination from any recognized board or possess diploma in Engineering.
- Candidates should also procure minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
- Candidates applying for B.Arch course should possess International Baccalaureate Diploma degree after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as the compulsory subject.
- The lower age limit of the candidate is 17 years as on July 31.

The AMUEEE or AMU B.Tech Entrance examination is conducted in different test centers over five states namely Aligarh, Lucknow, Bhopal, Srinagar, Kozhikode, and Kolkata.
- The entrance examination centers for B.Arch are allocated within Aligarh.
- Reservation is in accordance with the government regulations.
- Admission is confirmed to the students only upon completion of the document verification and payment of required fee amount.
ZHCET PG Admission 2024
The college offers a number of courses at the postgraduate level in various fields of engineering. Those who wish to pursue M.Tech courses in this college can apply through the official website of the AMU University or at the institute itself.
Admission to the postgraduate courses is purely based on the merit in the qualifying examination. This includes academic performance at all levels up to the qualifying examination, particularly in that of the degree level. The course duration for the M.Tech full time courses is 2 years.

The basic eligibility requirement is a pass at the undergraduate level from any recognized university or college in the country. An engineering degree preferably in the relevant stream is a must.
- Academic merit is the main deciding factor for the preparation of the final merit list.
- Students shortlisted on the basis of their performance must appear in person for the final admission process.
- Admission is confirmed only after finishing all the required processes, including document verification and payment of required fee amount.
Admission Procedure
- To apply online for B.Tech/B.Arch, the applicant must log on to the official institute website and navigate to the Online Application Form Page.
- For applying to B.Tech courses, AMU charges an amount of INR 550 as the required application fee.
- In case of B.Arch, the students must submit an application fee of INR 650.
- The candidates can submit the fee amount through cash at the Admission Section, Office of the Controller of Examination, AMU, Aligarh.
- Application fee can either be paid through Debit Card or Credit Card or DD drawn in favour of “Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh”, payable at Aligarh.

i choose this college because fees is quite low and affordable and its value for money to complete the btech in 465000Rs . Also chance of getting aborad internship is good. I did not qualify ffor the JEE ADVANCED. so i choose this college

- Classroom competition is good as there are many students from all over india

- Too many class bunks by students but teachers come and take classes no fault of faculty
- Infrastructure of building is not that good no AC in classrooms

All the data is provided on amucontroller exams site which provides application form 2 months before examination with a nominal fee of 1000 admission process is quite good there is transparency in examination

- You will get lots of free time here comparing to 9ther colleges
- The library facilities are good here, which generally remain open till 2 am

- There are no cultural activities, so don't except much
- Literally No exposure to college life, you will think you are still in school life
Admission:
The admission process was online.. you have to first register for the AMUEEE exam which is the entrance exam for the engineering courses offered by the college. After the exam, they will disclose your rank only they don't disclose Your marks and cut-off.. based on the ranking you can apply in the counselling for free online

You should be 12th pass and the application form is available on the amu controllers exam website. I didnot avail any reservation .The admission process is fine , there is some issue with the late admission

Eligibility is class 12th from recognised board. Anyone can get the admission form on the offcial website that is amu.ac.in and there is reservation for internal students who have done their intermediate from amu and to get into engineering one should qualify the amueee entrance exam.

Admission:
Eligibilty was simple XII with more than 65percent in boards. Application process is given on website before the forms are out. There are reservations as usual. Admission process is refined time by time and its becominng easier for the applicants for getting into it without any hassel.

- AMU provides a good atmosphere for self study.
- AMU is a green campus and it provides everything for overall growth.
Dislikes
- I think TPO in AMU are not much able to get companies to come in AMU
Admission:
AMU conducts its own entrence exam called AMUEEE and its eligiblity is 12th appearing or passed (Diploma students can also apply but those who have completed there degree from AMU itself). Application form for entrance exam is released around the end of month february in the site of amu.ac.in, fees of exam is around 800. Entrance exam will be held on 2nd or 3rd week of may and answer is released on next day and result will be released on june. There is two different cutoff's for internal(completed 12th from AMU board) and external(not a 12th passout of AMU), external students cutoff is around 55-50 and internal students cutoff is around 40-45 to get a decent branch in AMU. For CSE it is around 70 for external and 55 for internal it may vary a year wise. There are reservation like CA, CE, distance etc. Admission process is online and after a month of classes there will be physical document verification. Classes starts on 1st august.

- Hostel room allocation is not always guaranteed (especially for external students)
- Less emphasis is made on placements as students usually go for higher studies in this college.

Candidates who have cleared Class XII with at least 50% aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics fulfill AMUEEE eligibility criteria. AMUEEE application form will be available at amucontrollerexams.com Aplication fees is 750 INR and 1050 INR (with a late fee of 300) Application form will be available in the month of February (tentative)

Currently I am pursuing BTech in mechanical engineering from Zakir Hussain college of engineering and technology Amu For admission in BTech entrance exam took place in which 150 questions 50 physics 50 maths 50 chemistry you have to score 70 marks for crack

- Hostel facility is not upto mark, some building are built in 1930 so there is heavy fund require to furnish hostel
- Fooding is not good as IIT or NITs but better than any private university

You have to pass 12th board with 50 percent marks in pcm subject.. Your age is not exceed to 24 years when you applied for b tech... The application form is on the site of amu controller, application fees is about 900.. Application for btech paper is available in march-april.. Exam held after 1.5 months of fulfilling application date.. Mostly there is 2 types if reservation one is internal ( the student who done their 12th board from amu).. Other is CA, CE (child of alumini , child of employees) and second is OBC reservation... I think it is going smoothly in recent years .. So dont have any such type of thought about improvement..
