Burdwan Medical College is located in Burdwan, West Bengal. and was established in the year 1969. It is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Science and recognized by MCI.

At present, Burdwan Medical College runs MBBS at UG level and offers MD and MS at PG level.

To get admission to any UG, PG, Diploma program candidates shall apply as per the instruction of the West Bengal University of Health Science. The application procedure is different for each course.
Candidates who have completed 10+2 in PCB with 50% marks are eligible to get admission to MBBS program.
Admission to the course is given through NEET UG.
The minimum eligibility requirement for admission to MD and MS course is candidates must have completed MBBS Degree from the recognized University.
Admission to MD and MS program is given on the basis of the candidate’s NEET PG merit.

Burdwan Medical College & Hospital MBBS Admission 2024

Burdwan Medical College and Hospital runs MBBS program of 5 ½ years duration with the intake of 150 students.

The minimum eligibility for MBBS program is candidates must have completed 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from the recognized board.

Candidates are admitted to MBBS program on the basis of scores obtained in NEET UG.

Burdwan Medical College Application Process 2024

Candidates shall apply for admission to either UG or PG course as per the instruction of West Bengal University of Health Sciences. The application form will be submitted in online mode through the website of the university.

I applied for rest of the colleges of West Bengal for MBBS but in counselling I got Burdwan Medical College what college you will get solid depends on what marks you have in NEET according to marks you get respect to colleges if you want different college are a better one you need to score more in neet.

Admission:

Eligibility is 12 passes + have to clear the exam NEET. Application forms are available online when the form is released or you can go to the Syber Cafe to fill out the form. Application fees for general candidates are Rs 1700 and for General-EWS/ OBC-NCL fees are Rs 1600 and for SC/ST/PH/Third gender Candidates' fees are Rs 1000 and for Centres outside India fee is Rs 9500. And application date also is mentioned by nta. In every state, 85% of seats are reserved under State Quota candidates and NEET 2023 reservation criteria for them are decided by the concerned state authorities. NEET is the single undergraduate national-level medical entrance examination. Out of the total seats in all government MBBS/BDS colleges, 15% will be reserved for All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The seats under the 15% AIQ scheme will be allotted through NEET-UG reservation criteria. According to me, the admission process is very satisfactory.

Review on Burdwan Medical College

Admission:

Initially, I got admitted into Bankura Sammilani Medical College based on the WB NEET UG counselling results. But in the second round, I got the chance to upgrade BMC which is closer to my home and so I chose it. It is one of the older colleges in WB, established in the year 1969 and has one of the largest campuses in the state. My admission was done in the first week of September 2017. As I had already got admitted to BSMC earlier, I just had to transfer the documents and the overall admission process was smooth and not very time consuming. It is MCI recognized and a renowned college in our state. The college is overall good and has provided good memories of the time I have been here. However few improvements are still possible. Infrastructure can be improved a whole lot. Beautification of our college has been going on for some time and it has already been improved from what it was when I got admitted here 4 years back.

It had almost same books and method of studying as in INDIA. It was of the nearest distance from my home.also I'm familiar with the language. My college is quite old, MCI recognized so it was always a yes yes.

Verification process is for your marks in boards, live in this state or not, medical certificate, caste certificate (if any). Counselling process is for choice filling of colleges. College allocation is published. Admission process in respective colleges.

I cracked neet exam. then West Bengal verified all the documents. some month later they published all student rank their state. then provision latter got. admit in the respective clg. then second councilling start some rank decrease clg level increase or present in the same college.

Admission:

I appeared for NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- for Undergraduates) exam, 2018.
