Architecture have no campus placement opportunities. No architectural firms visit campus to hire students. freshers have to go to firms themselves and beg for jobs then they hire you for 10,000/month or may be less than that sometimes
No campus placement in architecture course in any college. We need to make our own portfolio of our done in whole college. Then we need to send it to an architect. Then they will go through it, if they like it they will contact you.
Architecture already has too much scope in this corporate world. This helps students in getting well paid jobs. Various MNCs come to our college to recruit students and pay them a very good package.
Placements are very well organised by the placement cell of the college. They assist students in getting high profile jobs and also help them in getting Internships which are usually paid. They help in developing the overall personality of the students.
As this particular institute was well-established and had a decent placement ratio, we had compulsory internships during the final year. The job opportunities in based on the portfolio the student design and the work of the candidate at any internship increases the chances to get a decent job easily.
We get to have internship in 8th semester as part of the curriculum which ranges from 4 to 8 months, which varies as per interest of intern, firm and work. We also have a placement cell. Some big companies do make it to SPA including Deloitte, EY, CBRE, EGIS, JLL but the average package would be about 5? L .
The placement cell organises campus interviews drives every year in which many companies participate for recruiting students as trainees or interns. Companies like L&T, Birla, Asian paints etc are some of the companies which participate in the events.
The college organises job fairs every year. Many top companies in the field of construction are part of the event. The jobs are posted in the students portal and each student is supposed to register before attending the interview.
The placement are okay - okay. As of now, I've not seen any good companies approaching the college. Maybe in other courses they get exposure to big firms but in my course. None of my batchmates have a got a good package.
The job opportunities are of a handsome number. Big firms approach the college and get appreciative quality of students. At times of internship also we get our CVs accepted from good firms. Stipend is not certain.
