• The BDS programme comprises of four academic years and one year of internship, leading to the award ofBachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree on successful completion.While BDS degree is the basic qualification required to legally register oneself as a dental practitioner, thestudents can also choose to pursue post graduate studies in the dental specialization of one's choice.
• In case of admission on the basis of qualifying examination based on merit, candidate for admission must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Pre University examinations or 10+2 examinations recognized as equivalent by the Rajiv Gandhi University Health Sciences, Karnataka.
• In case of admission on the basis of competitive entrance examination, the student must be in the merit list of such examination by securing not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.
• For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes notified by the Government, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination must be 40% instead of 50% as stated above.
• The candidate shall have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete this age on 31st December of the year in which he/she seeks admission.

 In addition to all other eligibility requirements of the university, foreign nationals seeking admission to the institute are required to submit the following:

•  Valid Passport and student visa for the period of stay in the Institution.
