My days in SRM Arts and Science.

Likes

The Campus infrastructure and the environment.
The social setting and the friendships made along with career.
The projects we were encouraged to do as Viscom students.

Dislikes

Bus fees was Outrageous. As I lived far away I had to go through a tough time travelling and I was not able to afford college bus.
Lack of Cultural events in the college for students.

Admission:

There is no entrance exam. First come first served basis of admission. Applications form is best availed in person, visiting the college. Reservation benefits are available. Candidates can check it with the office for more updated information.

Likes

The atmosphere, the campus life, the diverse group of students that choose SRM to study in.
The various canteens and wide range of food options available.
Easy access to hospitals, food chains, railway station and hostels, And the safety of students in the campus.

Dislikes

Scholarships being offered based on caste instead of being based on merit and family's financial background.

Admission:

Aspiring students must possess a minimum of 60% in their 12th board exams. Most courses in the SRM Arts and Science College do not require any entrance exams and your eligibility is based on the availability of seats and a good score in board exams. The application forms are available on the official SRM University website or you could directly visit the college during admission as a walk-in candidate. The application fees is around 600 rupees and the admission process happens very quickly. For students belonging to low-income families, there are a lot of scholarship opportunities they can apply to (applicable based on caste and merit).

Hotel food, strict attendence checking .

Admission:

According to the marks percentage we get seats in this college. Merit seats and management seats are available. We should obtain more than 60 percentage of marks to get seats. While admission they used to check both 10th and 12th mark percentages.

No entrance exam was conducted. Just fill out the online form and go straight to the admission office. Pay the amount in full or semester wise and you are done. You automatically are an SRM student now. The application fee would be 2000. You need a minimum 50% score in your 12th to get a seat in SRM. Applications will be available online or you can directly visit campus to fill out the form. The application period will be from April I guess.

Admission:

This is one of the best colleges in Chennai as well as in India. It got a wider area and lots of programs to show our talent. Best teachers they have and they provide the best facilities to their student. The one thing I fell like not good was the class was crowded near 80 to 82 students were in my class. They choose each and every student in respect of their marks and talent. The main thing I choose this college was the placement. They are tied up with a huge no. Of companies that make sure each student gets placed.

First I selected this course, since their is an option to do medicine if we choose biochemistry if we miss our medical entrance exam directly 2nd year after completion of our biochemistry graduation. Admission in the college is through a personal interview with the submission of intermediate and 10th marks memo. Preference is given first based on top merit. Some percent of seats are reserved for village backdrop poor students also.
