My college life

Likes

The faculty and staff are very supportive
The college has an in ship in campus which helps us in understanding the inside of ship more and helps in understanding the working of the ship

Dislikes

The hostel facilities need to improve on their facilities
The infrastructure is of old style and need improvement and development

Admission:

I chose this college over other maritime institutes as this college has had a very high placement rate in the recent times.It's placement rate in the last year ie of 2023 batch was 100%.I did not apply to other maritime colleges i only applied to kmsme.The admission process in my college is first you have to write a exam called imu cet and you need to have a valid rank in that examination and you also need to apply for cusat cat examination these are the requirements required to apply to my college.The cutoff ranks vary every year.Every year the competition is getter tougher and tougher so you also need to have a good rank to get the admission.so i would suggest a rank below 5000k in imu cet will secure you a seat in kmsme.My overall admission experience was good in this college .The staff were very friendly and helped me in every step of the admission process and during the admission process they had conducted an induction class to talk to us about the course and discuss every aspects of the course to us

A life between hell and heaven

Likes

Faculties behaviour,They were kindly behave to students.
Hostel room,After the collage we were hang in hostel room.They are neat and clean.
Library,The collage provide a library room for reading, writing,etc.They are peaceful place for students.

Dislikes

Hostel wardens,They were so rude and shout to students
Hostel food,That are not cooked it.Sometimes they were insects or something in it.
Hostel bathroom,They are not cleaning properly.In bathroom there are brokens pipe and doors in it.It is uncomfort for students.

Admission:

I applied for other than this college.But this college gets admission then i reject all other college.There are exams for getting this college.They are mainly two exams.IMU and CAT exams.After they were interviewing the students and parents.And then they were discussing about the college and hostel Life.

The Marine Experience

Admission:

Firstly, I had the CUSAT CAT entrance exam, after almost a month my CAT score came out and I had to select the courses which I wanted to opt. From this list according to my rank I would be given the list of courses to which I can go for will be given. I applied for all the courses I liked, there was a special box outside list for Marine engineering. The results came after some time and I got in for the orientation of Marine engineering. It usually takes place ahead of other departments. I could join the course and after if I got interested in some other course, I could always change the department because they were all under CUSAT. I selected the course because it was fairly different from the ones that were present, having spent a year in entrance coaching, I didn't want to go for some normal course. At the orientation, the list of students who came was shown on a screen, according to their rank the students were listed. I got in for that day, then I had to pay the fees of first year in advance, because for Marine, the first to semesters were combined.

Admission process of the college is not complicated. Registeration of name is the first step to get admission in the college. I got admission in this college in B.TECH course. And it was not tough. student only need to pass 12th class of minimum 60% marks. Entrance exam is the last step to know about the result. I got admission by giving entrance exam of the college. it is really not a very tough process. Firstly student should passed 12th standard with 60% of marks then student will be able to give entrance exam of the college. online registeration of the college is must necessary to give the exam of the student then after registeration college release exam date then student only need to go exam centre and according to the marks obtain in the result then student can get admission in the college.

I got admission to the b.tech course based on cusat. I wrote entrance test and got admission to this course. One should be passed in the 10+2 examination from state of Kerala or any other examinations accepted as equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60% marks and atleast 50% marks in Mathematics alone. Should have passed English at 10th or 12th Standards with 50% marks.
