Infrastructure of college malabar medical college is good.

The thing i dont like is there is no ac in library and its not open 25 hrs

There in compulsory internship in this course that college has to provide Internship is in every department in college and also every type of health care facility In internship/house surgeoncy students are put under every situation to make them learn

EXPERIENCE

Likes

Better hygeine , clean and peaceful surronding for a student to study.
Extra curricular activities: like sports , arts , quiz competition , cme programs are held for better purpose
Lab facilities are presnet for better teaching .

Dislikes

No proper campus for relaxation and extra time after college.
Building is under construction with workers most of the time.

Internships Opportunities:

Adter completing the 4 years of medical course we have an extra year of internship with a stipend of minimum 7000 for a hostelite and maximum of 10k for a student who is not having hostel facilities. Interns will hbe having a hard time of duty with night and day on soecific departments during each month .

A good medical college to summarise

Likes

The whole college, hospital and hostel resides in a hill, so must admire the beauty and cool environment
Class rooms are fantastic with centralised ACs and cushioned seats affording 200 students
The mess food in hostel is satisfying enough compared to general hostel food

Dislikes

The whole building resides in a hill, so walking up and down is hazardous job
Programs held for special occasions are not much entertaining compared to what we see outside
The batch consists of 150 girls and 50 boys every year.

Internships Opportunities:

House surgeoncy with a monthly stipend of around 10-12k rupees Research oppertunities and other options are available for PG residents and the college and hospital provides good oppertunities for studying and specialising in the subject and course

Likes

The Faculties are very good at taking classes.
Sports and arts are well supported by the college
Lab facilities are very excellent for all subjects

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not that much good compared to other medical colleges
Syllabus is so big and complicated somewhat difficult

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunities is present within the college itself. 1 year of internship for the course in the hospital with wages. Per year around 150 students are doing internship here. The number is increasing per year

College provides internship. stipend in the last year that is house surgeoncy year is 5000 rs per month, placements are not there in our course. internship is completed after working for 365 days

Placement Experience:

Yes, our college provides internship and there is a stipend of Rs. 7000 from which hostel and mess charge of Rs. 2000 is being deducted. After internship we can join here itself as junior residents. For them there is a salary of Rs 35000.
