The Bhawanipur Education Society College, popularly known as the Bhawanipur College, is a private undergraduate college affiliated with the University of Calcutta in Kolkata, India.
Admission to the BESC is determined purely by the merits that the candidates obtain in their previous qualifying examination. The college, therefore, does not undertake any entrance examination.
The BESC has an online system for admission and does not carry out a physical distribution of forms. Also, the candidates are not required to submit their application forms, bank money receipts, etc., to the college. They need to retain these documents for their own records.
Application fees must be deposited in the Federal Bank only. The merit list is put up on the college website. On merit listing, a candidate receives an SMS and an email with his/her registered mobile and email ID. He/she is required to follow the instructions given in the email.
No candidate is allowed admission after a lapse of more than three years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination, or discontinuation of the recognised regular course of studies after passing the previous qualifying examination. The year of admission is taken into account while calculating three years from the year of passing the previous qualifying Examination.

•I applied for st.xaviers autonomous college. But I didn't get admission because of their high cut off. I chose bhawanipur education society college over other colleges due to attendance criteria as in other colleges attendance are compulsory and in bhawanipur education society college attendance is not compulsory. •I got rejection from st.xaviers autonomous college because there admission cut off were high. My 12th percentage was 83.4% and the cut off st.xaviers autonomous college was 94% •There is direct entry in this college. No exams are conducted for admission

I didn't apply to any other colleges I really wanted this college and it has a good reputation so that's one of the major reason is why I opted for this particular college the admission starts when the cbse or icse boards results are out and the cut off can be as low as 40%

I applied to Shri shikshayatan but my name was not in the merit list. I got a call from them but by that time I had already taken admission in BESC as I saw I was merit listed there. I also applied in Scottish church college but my name was in a waiting list. In Scottish church college a huge amount of seats were reserved for SC, ST and OBC students and also Christian students . As I am from a general category , it was difficult for me to get chance there. Scottish college had only 50 seats in total so the competition was high there.

I applied to total 3 colleges and I got confirmation letter from three of the colleges only. I opted this college for the best sports facilities available. I think Bhawanipur has all that extra opportunity that a student can excell in.

I had applied for several collages like IILM greater noida , Chitkara University , Doon business school, bhawanipur education society But among all I made a choice to my collage because it was the nearest to my hometown and it has a brand value of more than 21 years The collage only lacks on the field of campus because is has a campus smaller compared to all other due to which it doesn't has its playground anyhow it makesup to it by applying turf.

I chose bhawanipur college as the classroom of the college is much better than anyother college available in kolkata as there are many government college where the classroom is not good. Also there is no scene of politics.
