For fees, there is a term bill every semester of about 24,000 rupees and there are some other bills of about 1000 rupees that randomly pops up in the middle of the semester. College deadlines for fees and other payments are strict and if unable to pay there is a costly penalty to pay. There are also the University exam fees every semester of about 1200 rupees. Every year lot of scholarships are provided for financially poor students(annual income less than 5,00,000 rupees). The Head of the department announces the scholarships available so keep an eye out for that. One student can get at most one departmental scholarship and the total amount is about 28,000-50,000 rupees. There are other competitive scholarships too around the year. There are no in campus jobs during the study time. For the chemistry course, you have to pay for every apparatus that you might break during your study.
The course fee is a bit high compared to other DU colleges Other than that there are Scholarships provided by the college which are of help. Other than that one can apply for INSPIRE Scholarship provided by the Central Government.
There is no fee hike as such yearly. The college does provide lots of scholarships and bursaries for students based on merit and need. Apart from that if you are joining Stephen's like a science student and have good grades in +2 then you might get the INSPIRE scholarship as well (that is Rs. 60k/year)
The fee is a little high as compared to other colleges in Delhi University which is unreasonable. The facilities at college residence though are excellent. The tuition fee is just Rs 90 but including other fees, it gets more than Rs 25,000 per semester excluding mess and hostel fee. I did not get any scholarship but college offers a lot of them to students from economically weak background like 'Tiara' and 'Sumitomo'. I did not sit for placements as I was planning to go for masters.
The university has laid out a very detailed curriculum which is followed by all the DU colleges. It includes both the theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. St. Stephen's college excels in academics and the teachers make sure of that. The teaching-learning process is very efficient and transparent and teachers are very welcoming to any suggestion that might improve the process further. Anyone who takes up this course here would come out as a more knowledgeable and better person.
The fee structure is somewhat different from other DU colleges. Fees for this course is- 40000 per annum. Apart from this, various scholarships are provided by the college namely- Sumitomo scholarship, JB Prasad scholarship, etc. Also, there is a campus placement cell in the college which regularly updates students regarding internships, jobs offered by various companies.
The college offers scholarship and loan facilities to academically outstanding students who might be financially not sound. They also inform students about the scholarships offered by other universities or by foreign universities.

Academics:
According to previous year, the cut off for admission to Hindu college for B. Sc (hons.) in Chemistry was 96.66% and in St. Stephen's it was 92%. The faculty contingency in both the colleges is very well reputed, dedicated and felicitated having won many recognitions to their name. It is not justified to distinguish between the teachers as all are almost at par with academic qualifications, achievements but are restricted by curriculum and different teaching patterns. Both the colleges organize national conferences and workshops for the holistic development of the students and to gain industry exposure.
Placement Opportunities:
The key feature which sets Stephen's apart is that when it comes to applying abroad for higher studies or internships or fellowship programmes, a lot of graduates have had the opportunity to do so owing to the scholarships and collaborations with foreign universities like Oxford, Yale and Cambridge. It has a more disciplined and rigorous and calm aura about itself not being as actively a part of the very famous DU fests as compared to other colleges. There are many ongoing research projects funded by SERB and UGC. Top recruiters being Hetero drugs, Emami, Homi Bhaba Centre for Science Education, BCG etc. offering a median salary of around 9LPA.
In the Hindu college, the median salary package for B. Sc in Chemistry at offer was 5LPA and average placement rate was low as most of the graduates sought to opt for higher studies. The top recruiters were DE Shaw, KPMG, IndiaBulls amongst others. Organizations like Empower India, Philip Morris International, Outlook rolled out internship opportunities too.
