GNIT Faculty

The faculty is very nice and they are very supportive. Specially Sourish Mitra Sir , who teaches us computer science. He is very friendly and supports students with not only studies but also with other activities. There are 2 unit tests which takes place between two consecutive semester exams .

As of my experience, the relationship between the student and the faculty has been pretty decent. Teachers are friendly and would co-operate with you to a great extent. For me, I really liked Our Computer Sir, Sourish Mitra Sir, friendly yet professional, made us study in a way that helped us to boost our confidence and without making things difficult. I personally haven't had any encounter where I seem to not like any faculty member till now. Before each semester, we will have atleast two unit tests and the difficulty would be moderate. Semester Exams might be a bit difficult for a few subjects but in a good way. The exams are pretty decent and is relevant to the course curriculum.

The teachers are really good, and have knowledge of the subject they are teaching. One thing who sometimes create trouble for me in understanding is their thick Bengali accent, being one of three non- bengalis .

The faculty to the student ratio is 40:1 .There are 1 faculty to the 40 students in the class .In the lab there are 2 faculty for the 40 students.The faculty are friendly with the students.I like my maths lecturer in the college.who taught matrices and calculus . Srinivas who taught me maths I like him pretty much . Because I like maths he encourage me to do different problems.The exams are for every semester the difficult is medium level .the curriculum is revalant to the present market.

In every semester there are two unit tests between the semester classes and 1 end sen=mester exams at the end of the semesters. The 1st unit test is of 15-20 marks for each subject and the second unit test is of 25-30 marks for each subject. The Unit tests are not very difficult and can be said very easy as it covers the only portions alreas=dy done in the regular college classes. The End Semester exam is of 100 marks and it covers the whole syllabus for the semester and the dificulty of the exam is moderate.

Faculty members are also encouraged by their ability and willingness to participate with students , faculty members and staff members in the classroom to help them achieve the highest levels of success in their careers

Each and every faculty is really helpful and they treat us like their own kids. Specially HOD mam is really like mother she is so sweet and helpful It's just you need to listen to them and they will help you in every situation

There are many faculties assigned for each department and each subject, the bond between teacher and student is very good, and they guide us in our problems. There are 2 unit tests and one final sem exam every six months, A maximum number of students clear the exam, but some of them fail then supplement exams are there for them to clear

The faculty members are quite knowledgeable and qualified and holds a masters degree and most of them even holds a pHd degree as well. Majority of them are really friendly and will teach you in such a way that you will definitely fal in love with that particular subject. Their guidance will not be limited to the bookish knowledge and just completing the syllabus but will also provide knowledge that will actually help you in real life and at industry level and also during your placements. While some teachers are also there who are knowledgeable enough but will only be in a hurry to just finish up the syllabus and not guide you for real life implementations and how things works in the practical world.

The student- faculty relationship is very friendly, they are very supportive. My best faculties come under ASHU department, they are like gem. They take 2 unit test kind of exams of marks 10-15, as a practice form, which is very helpful for the student.And they take practical exam just 10-12 days before semester exam, of 30 marks And the semester exam is of 70 marks, which got in total 100 marks. Suggestions and previous year question is very helpful for the student.
