BIT Patna, an off-campus extension of BIT Mesra, offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, architecture, management, and applied sciences. Admissions for 2025 are based on national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, GATE, CAT, MAT, XAT, and CMAT, depending on the program.

For undergraduate programs like B.Tech and B.Arch, admission is through JEE Main followed by JoSAA or CSAB counseling, while BBA and BCA admissions are merit-based on 10+2 results. The 1st year fee for UG courses ranges from INR 1,93,000 to INR 4,34,000.

JoSAA counseling is conducted in June after the JEE advanced results have been declared and comprises five rounds of counseling. Candidates who remain vacant in the five rounds are entitled to take part in CSAB counseling next. An applicant must register themselves online by visiting the JoSAA official website and paying a registration fee of INR 5,000 to take part in JoSAA counseling.
