Once a Carmelite, Always a Carmelite!

The lecturers are awesome and their way of conveying things is on a quite different level
A lot of extra curriculars are offered and it has upto almost 60 associations that help students follow their hobbies and passion.
Regular fests conducted in order to maximize students activity and capability to participate and win. My college supports everyone in participating more than winning and is always positive when it comes to a child's mental health.

Dislikes

My canteen does not offer that delicious and fresh food that I would prefer. It also has a very high price for diahes which are sometimes not affordable for students.
There is no ground for sports activity in my college and to participate or to go on sports marathon we have to travel to another ground which is not always convenient.

Placement Experience:

After semester 4 and during semester 5 students become eligible to apply for placement opportunities in the campus. The companies that visit are deloitte, golman sachs, amazon and many other companies and there are many offers made regarding each course of the student and their skills. The highest package offered was 6LPA to a computer science student by goldman sachs as the student was excellent in communicating, leadership and had all the basic skills to stand out from the crowd. Percentage of students getting placement are 96. My plans after getting my degree is to work for 3 to 4 years in a MNC and apply for MBA in a reputed institute.

Likes

Fests that are conducted the most entertaining ones
Vast campus where we get lot of time to hang out
The most qualified teachers with ocean kind of knowledge

Dislikes

Classes being conducted even during fest
Toilets not clean sometimes n no wateravailable
Sometimes assignments are really very boring

They teach us practical subjects that is very important in terms of enhancing our skills which the current dynamic work environment requires bu teaching us subjects like analytics and also ask us to do certain assignments that are really helpful to develop ourselves

Being a Carmelites

Likes

The fest that is being conducted that is lovely
Placements and internship opportunity that is being provided
Good quality teachers with vast knowledge

Dislikes

They conduct fests but still classes are being conducted
Toilet is a very big issue , sometimes not clean
The timings because of our batches n we study in afternoon

I joined this college bcz of its reputation and placement offers . They just don't teach conventional b.com subjects but make sure we are skilled as they provide courses like data analytics , excel making sure we are ready for real time requirement .

Beyond Books: The MCC Experience

Likes

The things i really enjoy in MCC is the sustainable environment and the campus giving you peaceful place to study. Not only it stops there but the teachers being friendly and approachable is a great thing of support.
The college also provides us with the placement facility for a year ensuring students are secured with good jobs

Dislikes

I personally do not like it being a co-ed now I feel it has lost its integrity and the decency it used to hold before.
Not to forget talking about the canteen experience because the food there is not up to the quality or even the price they charge.

Placement Experience:

Our college has good placement cell cordinator because most of the students are placed in good companies The college actually makes you register and give fees and then you can avail for the benefits from the training. The training is given for the final year students whereas internships are open for all the years.

Mcc’s not so accurate review

Firstly the campus is amazing. The campus is filled with greenery and everything there is biodegradable even the plates and cultery in the canteen is of paper or compostable material
There are more than 100+ associations like dance, music, ncc, language etc and if you can’t get into one association there are more options too
Also the placements are amazing. Top companies come for placements

Dislikes

The teachers in my 1st semester were very friendly and good but the 2nd sem teachers are a bit strict and u hope this level of strictness does no get higher with the coming semesters

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus from 4th sem But I haven't applied for any placements yet Some of the famous companies that have visited our college include Deloitte, radio mirchie, Tesco,Infosys etc and more than 200 companies I don't have much idea about the the highest package and the percentage of students getting placed but during the orientation they said that one student go a package of some 24 lakh package for an internship

Badnaaam nahi MCC Carmel!

Environment and the very amazing faculty
Cool staffs! Watch'mens and women do thr work too good.
Canteen and food and the most fav is infrastructure

Dislikes

The rules! Which shouldnt be entertained
The crowded fests! And the price for it too high
For each n everything money matters! Just moneyyy

I didn't wanted to opt this course just got in due to fees issue, and it was a girls clg before, now it's not good! Ummm too many awareness They shd guides us in notes making... Totally depends how well we understand the subject it will be easy or might be difficult 2 n half hours end sem exams!

YEARS AT MCC

Likes

The campus is very near and clean with good plants and is well maintained
We have councellors for students who need help and they are available till the college working hours
Libraries we find all types of book from subject related to novels which is very helpful

Dislikes

Sometimes the dress code is not followed by the students

Placement Experience:

Students can enroll to placement at their final year 5th semester the notice will be sent to the students in the starting of the final year. Ey,ICICI Bank, Zomato,Egrms etc have visited the college almost 40 offers have been made The highest package was 24 lpa and the average is 4.5 lpa the package depends on the role the company offers Almost all the students enrolled to the placement get placed about 80% of applied students get placed My future plans are on getting a masters degree in finance

My review of the famous Mount Carmel college: pros and cons

Likes

The cultural fests and the overall atmosphere of comfort within friend groups
Availability of faculty and modern building structures
Campus amenities like library, computer labs, e-resource centres

Dislikes

Girls to boys ratio is now 4:1 compared to the all-girls policy followed till 2023.
Last minute information circulation (exams/events)
Change in the dress code and stricter regulations after the co-ed policy starting 2024

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester end 1-2 companies may come for certain select roles in fields of technology and business operations. However majority of the colleges begin with placements from 5th semester i.e 3rd year onwards. Few students have got the package of 20+LPA, this offer could be by DE Shaw, JPM or Deloitte 80% placement guarantee.

The best campus life

Likes

The infrastructure is mind blowing.The classrooms are big enough to fit 70-80 students in a class

Dislikes

Less space in canteen may be they should have more space as there are many students

There are many opportunities to the students who join Mount Carmel Institutions. Especially for Bcom they have seperate management so they can concentrate on everyone not only Bcom every department has its own management.The recruitment process is well designed for the students who seek for job and the compensation for the students who are sitting for placements are designed well compared to other colleges. As a institution Mount Carmel is doing its best in order to provide best for their students but in studies and curriculum. The frequency and the timing is okay when they conduct examination

All about mount Carmel college

Likes

Women domination - it is good to see the women leading in this college and given a lot of opportunities
Extra curricular activities are prioritised
Opportunities for socialising within the college and our side college during fests , etc

Dislikes

Very strict with 75% attendance mandatorily

Placement Experience:

After the 2nd year the students are eligible to apply for placements . The college also provides with pre placemets talks with the company and placement preparations Around 70 to 80% of the students get placed The average CGPA to sit for placements is 6 The average package ranges from 4 lakhs to 18 lakhs being the highest My plan is to move abroad after bachelors in which the college helps with recommendation letters

Mount Carmel College is one of the finest in Bangalore. It has received star college award for the science department. The campus has a great student crowd with fantastic energy.

The college has good infrastructure. Every class has a hybrid board for presentation. The campus has a lot of uncluttered spaces to socialize and study. The sports facilities are pretty good as well. The basketball and the fields are well-maintained. The campus also has a well-equipped gym.

The professors are well-qualified and helpful. The undergraduate courses taught at the college have a decent balance between theoretical and practical subjects.

Mount Carmel College placements are pretty good. In the recent placement, the median CTC offered to students was INR 3 LPA. The number of companies visiting the campus is increasing each year. Big MNCs like Wipro, Dell, E&Y, JP Morgan, etc. visit the campus drive.

I have a few friends from Mount Carmel College Bangalore. Their experience at the college has been quite good. Here are some snippets of their experience at the college.

Placements: Many reputed companies visit the college to recruit students. In the recent placement drive, the average and highest CTC offered at the institute was 2.95 LPA and 7 LPA. The placement cell also conducts placement training for the students, before the placement drive.
Facilities: The laboratory facilities offered at the institute are quite good. The 1st floor of the LSCB block has all the science labs. The computer labs use all the modern technologies.
Course Curriculum: The course curriculum followed for B.Com is quite good. Teachers use live examples to teach.
Fest: MCC organizes many fests. CulAh is quite reputed in Bangalore.

Overall, doing B.Com from Mount Carmel College is a good option.
