One of my close friends attended Great Lakes at Gurgaon and here are some tips based on her experience.

You will be evaluated based on their GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ CMAT scores, previous academic performance, essays, work experience (if any), and performance in the personal interview.
The selection process is built in a criterion that facilitates evaluating academic abilities, standardized test scores, rank, integrity and ethical values, and diversity of background.
At Great Lakes, there are no fixed cut-offs, you will be evaluated in a multidisciplinary way. Profiles are considered completely although the test scores are important, the selection is more emphasized on well-rounded candidates with an overall strong track record.

In 2020, the required CMAT cutoff at the institute was 85%. So, you are eligible for the institute but try to make your profile better as the CMAT score alone is not enough to get selected for admission.

Yes, GLIM Gurgaon offers domain based specializations in finance, marketing, analytics, operations, and strategy. Students can also choose to pursue certifications and workshops in emerging skills like Power BI, Python, Digital Marketing or Six Sigma in collaboration with industry partners.

GLIM Gurgaon has limited merit-based scholarships, and only for PGPM students. The scholarships are awarded after students are admitted based on academics, entrance and other scores, diversity and some need for the scholarships. The Committee looks at overall achievement and a holistic approach. The scholarships are awarded in amounts that can total to as much as 5 lakhs, and a portion is set aside for female candidates to promote diversity.

Does GLIM Gurgaon provide summer internship?

Yes, summer internships are compulsory for PGDM student. Internships are an essential part of the curriculum. In summer internship, all PGDM students take internships in a reputed company as companies of various sectors. The duration of the internships vary between 8 to 12 weeks and the students get the opportunity to gain industry exposure, and learn from practical experiences. Many companies convert to pre-placement offers (PPO) for summer interns.

The curriculum emphasizes learning from the experiences of others, analytics, and building a leadership mentality. GLIM Gurgaon Placement activities commence as early as the first trimester when the students undergo resume preparation and timings /structure for GD-PIs (incl rounds). The process for summer projects for PGDM starts in Term 2 and full-time offers for PGPM and PGDM starts by Term 4. As the students have exposure to live projects albeit projects with real-time industry problems they are able to build their profiles by the time the placement drive commences.
