Hostel is available for limited people creatinga issue for housing.

I wanted a college in Delhi for it's prime location. Department of Business Economics is at par with all the baby IIMs. I had few options but this college stands out from all other. The fees is also affordable for a MBA degree.

The campus is beautiful, lush green and is located at the end of the Aravali Range.

Admission:

It is great for students who can excel with limited resources and do not want a great big fat B-school vibe. The ROI is great and you can become an MBA without burdening your parents or taking a loan.

Exposure is very good, interaction with other courses students.

Dislikes

Hostel seats are less so we have to take PG

Admission:

I've got offer from other good B schools but the affordability of this department is amazing so I choosen ROI over other brands. As I don't want to take education loan for giving my salary into the EMIs.

I choose this college particularly for one of the best ROI and the networking exposure through the student body activities like pannel discussions, speaker sessions, alumni meets, etc. The admission process is quite simple. First you need to apply through the application form which is available on the website and then the PI round is there.

DBE MBA Review

Likes

The fees is very less for MBA as compared to other colleges.
There is not much academic pressure leaving room for you to explore on your own.
The peer group is very diverse and knowledgable.

Dislikes

There are limited seats in hostels. Most students have to stay at nearby places.
The quality of food served at the canteen could be improved.

Admission:

This college has one of the best colleges in regard to the ROI in India. It's location at the heart of Delhi was also a big plus which compeld me to join the course. Admissions in DBE is done through CAT and a composite score is made based on certain criteria.

Life at DBE

Likes

The Department has weekly guest lectures where one or multiple industry leaders visit the campus to share their corporate experience.
The course curriculum is best suited for people interested in Analytics and gives hands on experience for modern techniques making the MBA programme more unique.
The discipline and seriousness shown by your peers creates an excellent learning environment.

Dislikes

My batch was admitted without the interview process which created loopholes in the overall discipline of the batch.
A little lack of resources as compared to IIMs kind of pushes the Department behind in rankings.
If you are part of multiple Clubs and Committees, it gets a little tough to manage all the tasks.

Admission:

I picked DBE over others because of the Amazing ROI it offers, it has 14.41LPA average package when the overall fee is less than 2 Lakhs (including SB Fund). The admission process includes Personal Interviews. I would suggest the candidates to visit the Official Website for detailed information on the department.

DBE Experience

Likes

The campus is very beautiful, lush green and overall a very big garden feel. Canteen is somewhat average, the distance from metro is around 1 km which feels okay for a college accessibility.
There are a lot of departments under arts with different programmes under each department which gives ample opportunities for social interactions.
The faculty is very much experienced mostly towards economics and finance. Most of the faculties are holding P.hd. in their respective domain. The curriculum is also very well designed covering economics, Statistics, finance, analytics and marketing.

Dislikes

A little development of classes might be needed because of old age building, there are not a lot of good benches or classes.

I did got 98.16 percentile but being a General Engineer Male candidate, I didn't had a lot of options. I applied to almost all IITs, IIMs and all other colleges who take admission from CAT. I chose this college because of the fees, as I got call from IMT gaziabad and IMI New Delhi both of them having fees over 20 lakhs vs this college whose fees is about 2 lakhs including student body. I got rejections from all other colleges because of being a GEM candidate and low academics, some interviews didn't go up to the mark. The admission of this college is pretty easy as from 2-3 years they have stopped taking personal interviews so you only get accepted based on your overall score which includes gender score, academics of 10th, 12th and grad, also takes which degree you took in account. pretty much this sums up my answer

It's a great bet, if you want to do MBA that too with low fees, good brand & great placements!

Likes

ROI is most appreciated factor, Small batch size, more exposure to Placement opportunities.
Campus is lush green. In centre of India - Delhi NCR.
Metro connectivity, near-buy food places, inexpensive surroundings

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not at par like IIMs, there is no separate campus for DBE, it's a shared campus so all the amenities are shared with n number of department.

Admission:

I got offer from mostly all baby IIMs, I chose DBE because of ROI, and the brand of University of Delhi is unmatchable already in India, also taking loan for an MBA in this tough market? Are you really making a rational decision? Here ROI is beyond roofs. Admission portal was a little laggy at my time, but now it works flawlessly, also initiatives from faculty and student driven bodies make instant groups, sessions to keep updated with all the Adcom related queries.

DBE Review

Likes

Huge green campus, subsidised canteen, with minimal interference with nature. The boy girl ratio is 80:20. Limited but experienced and knowledgeable faculty. Easy going course split in 4 sems accross 2 years. Teaching method is still primitive.
The faculty is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They provide academic support wherever needed. Could use a little more support in the extra curricular front, for a more holistic development on the students.

Dislikes

Huge strides in infra dev is needed along with a course revamp and rigorous check on funds (provision and use) and the power dynamics of people with POR (students or otherwise)
A legal, university approved and regulated student body is needed (that looks after placements as well) in order to ensure fairness, transperancy and prevent any abuse or power or funds.

Admission:

Lowest fees I could find, hence the best ROI, in a highly competitive and job scarce market (post covid). I had calls from other institutions but this provided a better ROI, was on my home city/state and easy going due to the semester system.

Life at DBE-DU

Likes

The campus is lush, green, and beautifully maintained, offering a serene environment where you can feel connected to nature and enjoy a sense of peace.
The various speaker sessions and panel discussions provide valuable insights into market trends and industry requirements, enhancing our knowledge. Additionally, interactions with industry stalwarts offer excellent networking opportunities.

Dislikes

There is only 1 canteen in the campus, so the option for snacking is very limited.
There are only few seats available for hostel, so most of the students has to look out for other options outside the campus.

Admission:

I choosed DBE over other colleges because of its great ROI, apart from that it offers a dual specialization, because of which we get opportunity to do master in 2 different domain. Being a 50 year old Department. it has a huge alumni base which further offers great networking opportunities.
