Admission to the college can be secured through the MP Professional Education Board counselling process, based on JEE Mains scores. While not among the top government colleges, this institution transitioned to an autonomous university in 2010, offering a strong academic environment with highly qualified faculty, all holding advanced degrees. Despite low final-year attendance due to placement preparations, faculty support remains strong. The fee structure is reasonable at around Rs 47,000 annually, including bus fees, with flexible payment options and special provisions for financially disadvantaged students.
Placement success is a highlight, with about 70% of students securing jobs by their third year. Renowned companies such as Tata Telecommunications, Infosys, Vodafone, and Google recruit from the college. M.Tech students receive stipends of up to Rs 8,000, while undergraduate stipends are Rs 1,800 with hostel accommodation. The college mandates third and fourth-year students to undergo training, which they must arrange independently. Numerous scholarships are available, particularly for female and economically disadvantaged students, with full tuition refunds for eligible candidates from various government programs.
However, exam fees of Rs 1,800 are excluded from these scholarships. Hostel fees are affordable, but campus jobs are not offered.
