The following section briefly talks about the prerequisites and requirements for admission to the B.Tech program :

The degree is offered in the following specializations :

• Computer Science and Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Eligibility Criteria

1. The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category students and management quota) aggregate.
2. They must have cleared the KEAM examination.
3. Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December 2019.

Selection Criteria

• The candidates are offered admission based on merit rank obtained in the KEAM examination.

• Apart from that, candidates can also apply under the Management quota or NRI quota.

How to apply for KEAM?

KEAM consists of two sets of paper, each of a duration of 150 minutes.

• The questions are objective type.
• Each correct answer awards you 4 marks while each wrong answer leads to a reduction of 1 mark.
• There are a total of 120 questions in each paper.

Procedure

1. An official notification will be released by the CEE Kerala, following which the application forms will be officially released.
2. The form has to be filled with all the personal and academic details asked for.
3. Along with the submission of the form, the candidates have to upload their scanned photographs and photocopies of mark sheets.
4. If the candidate wishes to be considered for quota selection, then it has to be mentioned clearly in the application form.
5. The payment of the application fee of Rs 800 (Rs 400 for reserved category students) has to be made through online mode or E-challan method.
6. The candidates have to take a printout of the filled application form with an affixed photograph.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduation in a relevant field with minimum 60% marks.(For SC/ST students, a pass in engineering degree course is sufficient).
• Candidates who have passed AMIE / AMIETE examinations and satisfying the following conditions, are eligible for admission :
  • They must have a valid GATE score.
  • A minimum of 55% marks in Section B of AMIE / AMIETE examination.

Selection Criteria

The candidates are selected and offered admission on the basis of score of GATE examination.

How to Apply for GATE?

The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id. 

Documents Required

• Scanned photograph and signature 
• Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address).
• Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Course Completion Certificate.
• Copy of mark sheet of V /VI /VII semester.
• Final year students must submit Provisional Certificate Letter as per format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.
• Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.
• Caste Certificate/Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).
• Candidates pursuing a higher degree or masters have to submit the qualifying degree certificate.
