MBA (Business Analytics)

The selection process for MBA (Business Analytics) at BITS Pilani DoM is structured across four components:

  • BAAT (50% weightage): The Business Analytics Aptitude Test is a computer-based exam covering quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, and business reasoning. All applicants must appear for BAAT. Candidates who skip BAAT are not eligible regardless of CAT or GMAT score.
  • Personal Interview and Extempore: Only BAAT-shortlisted candidates are called to Pilani campus. The PI tests analytical thinking and communication. The extempore requires speaking on a given topic for a short duration.
  • Academic Record: Class 10, Class 12, and graduation percentage contribute to the composite selection score.
  • CAT / XAT / GMAT score: Optional but considered in final selection for candidates with a valid score.

Minimum eligibility requires a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate marks, and Mathematics or Statistics studied at the 10+2 level or above. Work experience is not mandatory but receives additional consideration in final selection. The typical admitted profile includes candidates from engineering and quantitative backgrounds.
