At undergraduate level, Vel Tech Dr. RR & Dr. SR University offers BE and B.Tech programs to the students who want to pursue their career in the field of Engineering. The duration period for the B.E/B.Tech courses is four years. The college also provides a lateral entry in the B.E and B.Tech second year for which the duration of both the course is three years.
For Admission to B.E / B.Tech Degree Courses, a candidate should have passed the twelfth standard of Tamil Nadu H.S.C. (Academic) or an equivalent examination recognized by Anna University with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. At the postgraduate level, Vel Tech Engineering College offers Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Structural Engineering. The M.E /M.Tech program is offered for a duration period of two years. The intake capacity for the M.E. program is 18 seats.
To apply for the M.E/M.Tech program, a candidate needs to hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained atleast 50% (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.

In addition to the technical courses, Veltech Dr. RR & Dr. SR University offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) at the postgraduate level. The MBA program is of two years whereas the MCA program takes three years to complete the duration period. The institute also accepts admission in the MCA second year.
