My college

Likes

The school has a large no of trees and plants
The principal is very sweet and kind towards the students

Dislikes

Routines are changed many times ,which makes trouble
Some khasi people tries to dominate us intentionally

Campus Life:

College week is celebrated in every year in college There are projectors and blackboards in most of the classrooms Sports like Basketball and badminton are offered mainly in the campus The SC,GC and the NCC

Lady keane college

Likes

I like the teachers, they provide us notes , environment is friendly there's two canteens and one cofee shop which is affordable, the seniors are really great , we get to celebrate college week too.
Actually our college is a girls college but starting from this year 2024 there's has been boys too

Dislikes

Hostel facilities are not that good like the water shortage and rooms are abit small
There's no charging point inside the dormitory and There's two charging point for one room outside the dormitory

Campus Life:

For the time being I'm also adjusting tonthe environment since it's my first time here the surrounding is great you'll get 24/7 securities, teachers are really great you'll get your dream courses and for the club and societies it's not my thing but you can check for that too

The ups and downs

Likes

The placement given after the completion of the course
Giving the pre- experience opportunity before opting for our career that is internship

Dislikes

Not enough facility as well as the compound.
Not enough outdoor activities for the students

Campus Life:

As for festival it's is been held every year different type organise by the department and in library it's all based on referal books. In each classroom projector is provided for professional course as well as some other department. I would rate 10 in sports as most of the students are into sports and they really get the opportunity to go outdoor and compete

Campus life at lady keane college is vibrant with active club environment and supportive social interaction infrastructure includes funcional classroom and a well srocked library those some facilities could be improved

Lady keane college hosts the annual college week in September and techfinity in October The library offers diverse books while classrooms have basic tech provisions Sports, cultural events, and clubs like student union enhance campus life fostering students engagement and leadership through various extracurricular activities and social groups

Likes

Teachers - really passionate and supportive teachers
The hostel is also good with good infrastructure

Dislikes

The lady keane hostel mess food can be improved both quality and quantity wise
The college timing- the classes starts quite early as it's in a cold place it'll be better if it was a little late.

Campus Life:

It has number of programs and annual festivals like college week. The library has a good number of books but can be upgraded. There are number of clubs and extension services like nss, ncc, yrc etc. it has a gym which can be upgraded.

The college campus and everything about the college surroundings
I love how friendly the teachers were with the students

Dislikes

The thing I dislike about the college is about the college hostel

Campus Life:

Variety fair , women's day, health day , environment day etc and college week is celebrated in our college There are many moral books and journals in the college library The college provide many facilities such as free singing and music classes for students that are interested in music and free arts class free sports training class free modelling class There are many extracurricular activities provided in the college campus such as football, badminton, basketball, volleyball etc

My short personal review of my college life in Shillong

Likes

I have found my best circle of friends in the college and my social life is at its peak. I love it here
Our teachers are so friendly and approachable.

Dislikes

Teachers might be irregular sometimes
Our hostel facilities can be and should be improved

Campus Life:

College week is conducted every odd semester. For freshers and farewell programs we do not conduct as a whole but department wise. Our library is pretty reliable but it do needs a lil upgrade. The staffs there are the sweetest Various sports competition are conducted occasionally. If i had to choose our cllg's main sports, it is basketball. Tournaments are held every year, sometimes football and mostly during cllg week for other sports. For our department, we ve various clubs run by our teachers and seniors but unfortunately only it is not open to all but limited to literature students only. We have book club and literature club. History dep also has their heritage club that was founded recently.
